People have time to play ESO now want to have maintenance finish ASAP.
People can't play ESO right now, prefer ZOS take as much time as needed to get job done right.
Both understandable, but fighting each other over this is childish, really.
I can guess, guys complaining are likely from Australia. And guys heckling, of course are from EUR. US guys are all sleeping at this moment.
So please, all just state your opinions and stop fighting each other.

As a few others have mentioned in this thread, maintenances for major updates like today's take longer than our standard patch maintenances. We know everyone is excited to get back into the game and play the new content. We're looking at at least a few more hours - we'll let you know if that changes and when the servers are back up and online.
People have no life lol. Go out, meet some people, invite friends for a beer, workout, grab your gf/wife and go on a date. Try a new hobby, read a book. Watch a movie/ anime / series. Read lore. Research new builds. Play another game. Work on your back yard. Walk a dog. Go shopping... ffs idk there's milions of other things to do you lazy asses.
Edit: "BUT MUH SCHEDULE"... That's life lol. I get it that you want to play now because you can. That's not an excuse to not do anything else productive though.
I've been playing another game lately and each time they have maintenance they post their patch notes a day before the patch, they listen to feedback and developers keep players up to date on what is going on with the maintenance and why it's taking longer if it is.After 3 years you would think people would understand it takes as long as it takes. You act as if they want it to take longer so there's 87 threads on the forums from people complaining.
It's annoying, yes, but it's not like they are saying "oh snap Yarlenzey is mad, hurry it up!!!"
Really don't understand what is holding ESO back from doing this.
Seriously, people act like this game is the only thing they have to do and thier lives just fall apart when they cant play for one evening a week. That is honestly the impression you are giving with your response to downtime.
Be thankfull there is maintenance. Oh god imagine the results and the posts if they just didnt conduct maintenance.
The server is down for maintenance for i guess less than 4% of the year. Assuming about 6 hours most weeks. Come on....
Just come live in my timezone, where maintenance is always in the middle of the night.

They probably average millions a month + whatever they already have from outright sales. They are NOT some starving indie group. They are probably closer to the billion $ mark and have LOW overhead. If a movie pulls 53 million a week JUST from theater sales, these guys make more from crown store and sub sales.

A thousand times this ^
Zos has always had issues with lack of communication.
This is the equivelent of:
When u are a restourant, and the server tells you that ur food will will be 10min but comes 45min + later; dont know about you, but thats servers tip is less now.
When you are hire a reno company for some work, they qoute you for 3 days, but take 5. Without any outlying issues.
Its the lack of communication and immaturity that zos shows time and time again that gets a bunch of us frustrated over and over.
Allegedly our population is mostly an older crowd, we have RL responsabilities and we work our gaming around them.
If they tell me game is down for 3 hours, Ill schedual my work around it, then come back to pc, all excited to play. But still have to wait a few hours with NO word from zos. As an adult. I get over it and get back up to do more work. But the issue of lack of communication and transparency remains frustraiting.

I don't complain about maintenance but I still don't like when people say stuff like the bolded above. I mean you are sat here on the forums telling other people to go F off out elsewhere. I can't decide if ironic or hypocritical.
Everyone knew this maintenance was coming - so people should chill, but at the same time the smarmy 'go smell a dog's backside whatever' posts are just as bad.

Firstly, you sound entitled as hell. Nobody likes a holier-then-thou ***. M'just saying. Most of the people who take issue with this, are in the UK. Where the time chosen is prime time off work time for them. Asking people who just got home to go walk they're dog at six in the bloody evening is a little unreasonable.
Secondly, people, this is the company who's regular maintence runs for eight hours. Eight. Hours. They're stability sucks, multiple people get kicked off without warning, what more warning for this kind of thing do you need?
Same diff. I'm sat on the toilet on my phone. Point is?People have no life lol. Go out, meet some people, invite friends for a beer, workout, grab your gf/wife and go on a date. I am not sat here on the forums. I'm on my way to work. There's data on phones now just fyi. @Mureel
