We just won battleground and no achievement - Pelinavant the Scourge

I'm not a pvp'er. I don't enjoy it or have time for it atm. Took me and a friend of mine some time actually to finally win a battleground, but didn't get the achievement for the Midyear Mayhem event. I have date proof on the first win. I don't have time to sit in battleground after this bug is fixed so I just wondering, will I get the achievement next week without having to queue for battleground again?
