That is an amazing setup for that space...Hey guys,
I thought a lot about writing this or not...
but I am real sad about it so I'm gonna do it.
I made a char from each alliance to get all the free starter homes and furnished all of them, beside the AD one, which my only actually played char is from.
It is just not possible to fit a bed in, nicely, and not even close to a desk, bed, dresser, nightstand... all things that fit in perfectly fine in the other starting homes.
I would LOVE to use the Auridon home!! But in the small and weird shape its just not possible, I think that needs to be changed!
Let me know your thoughts.
I don't think the AD free room is all that bad. I lived with just that one home for a little while before I gathered more furnishing plans and took the plunge and decided to purchase a bigger one. I find the little room to be rather sweetI put a second level in mine for a bedroom, so that I was able to add more furniture beneath it.

I'm not saying it's comparable: it's a thought experiment to see whether your assertion that something free is always fair actually makes any sense. So you conclude that it's fair, and in that thought scenario the non-white kids couldn't complain that it was unfair for them to only get 1/200,000th of what the white kids got, because they got something free so they have nothing to complain about.Thought experiment for you @Betheny: a guy walks into a classroom and says "I'm going to give everyone in this class free money!" He then proceeds to give $10,000 to each white student, and a shiny nickel to each student of a different race. Is that scenario fair? Everyone got something for nothing, and everyone has more than they had before.Johnfred24 wrote: »A free thing can't be "unfair", even if it's rubbish...you don't get to complain about free stuff.
Go do the other faction quests and get their free inn rooms, or better yet - go buy yourself a nice house and decorate the crap out of it!
What kind of logic is that? Of course free things can be unfair...
No they can't.
If it's free it's something for nothing, more than you had before.
Is getting something for nothing unfair?
Only comparable if like with these inn rooms those other students could go get that $10,000 also for free if they wanted, because their race and political views can be changed with a character make and delete button.
Yes it's perfectly fine - they got everything for free and nothing to complain about.
Also - awkward - you're making this thread take a sudden turn down the racist road.

Lol...
OP asking for improvements to a FREE "home"...
How about buy a home and then you can have your bed?
It's called a Inn ROOM not a home OP.
You want a nice spacious home in your precious island?
Here ya go!:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukD9CXI8hVA[/vid]
I agree with you. After buying homes and furnishing them and other apartments, when I used the Auridon home for a teleport, I felt like I'd been mistakenly been teleported into a closet! It's useless.

I'm a Khajiit

So what if the house is free or not, if the other 2 starter houses, which are also free, are noticeably larger than the one in AD(which they are) then of course ppl are gonna complain. Choosing a different alliance than the other shouldn't automatically net you with a larger house. That's a design flaw imo.
I personally don't give a *** about housing but getting annoyed at all the unjustified hate OP is getting.

If the housing prices in stuck up altmer lands are so high that you get only half the space at the same price...
Forget the coffin hotel, buy some decent home!
Maybe the studies ZOS did showed AD characters to have more Gold wealth , and knew they would only use the starter home as a stabbin cabin on the side for secret affairs , and a place to crash after partying in Auridon all night
meanwhile (g I will say one thing. apartment in skywatch? is a hell of a deal for 11k you pay for it. ceilings are high enough to add a second floor with no issues whatsoever.
