How to survive as Stamina NB?

I have my stamina NB with dual wield/ Bow and I have always problems to survive in pve vs group of mobs like in Craglorn or Wrothgar. I have no method to heal me or mitigate damage. I have no vigor for example, I'm not doing pvp... I have only Mirage and Blood craze to heal me.

I need some help to make work my DW/Bow build to handle these areas. I don't know if the solution is burn the group of enemies before they reach me or what.

Go to Cyrodiil, get vigor. Find group of friends to play with in Craglorn.
    I believe in lagless Cyrodiil!

Vigor is almost essential on Stamina Nightblades.
You really should get it. Its easy if you do a group and just follow the mass.
I got my vigor in 3 hours.

Killer's Blade an enemy who you have Reaper's Marked? Oh, health is full.

    Mid-fight? Yeah, basically vigor.

Consider switching to 2 hand for rally? And reapers is good. There's also draining shot on your bow that disorientates and gives you health back.

Since Stam NB DPS builds are very strong while having 27k + HP at the same time the question is weird.
If you need heals get Vigor.

Even if you dont like pvp much, vigor is totally worth spending a couple hours in cyrodiil. Follow a zerg around and you'll get it soon enough.
Edit: And as some suggested, what keeps you from using 2h while soloing?

Vigor is good. I run it sometimes if I think I need a direct heal but........... its not the only play in town.

First thing im going to ask is are you buffing health with food when you run a dungeon? Im hoping yes but just making sure. That will make a difference to squishiness if you are not (not an answer to your question. Just an observation).

Reapers Mark is my go to heal. Mark the target, kill it, receive a massive heal. It works well in PVE as bosses usually have adds. You just need the discipline of marking the target in a way that doesn't get you away from dealing damage to the boss. For example I will mark a weak target get close to the boss and spam steel tornado. by the time im down to 50% health the add dies and im back to max.

Killers blade returns a heal on kill. I used to use surprise attack but swapped it out for this. While I don't get the same damage its worth it for the heal. But it is an execute not a spammable skill so you just have to make sure you are using it when the enemy is below 25% health to get the damage bonus and the chance of the heal.

The other option that I have started trying out is using the vicecannon of venom set. cloaking or crouching and attacking starts a massive DOT which also heals you for the same amount. at present im hitting for around 18k over 15seconds. So starting a mob from stealth suddenly means you have a 15second on going heal which you can reproc as soon as the target dies by using shadowy disguise then attack. It also starts from using focussed aim and other bow abilities.......so a very useful set that also adds some weapon damage and stam recovery.

None of the above options will get you out of a sticky situation. They all need to be part of the plan and kept up or used at the correct times. Vigor is the only real burst option you will have. But with a few tweaks to playstyle you can be pretty effective at giving yourself some ongoing heals and not be 100% reliant on the groups healer.

Just suck it up and get vigor or even use rally. The game opens up once u obtain vigor.

Yes well, I think I will try to get Vigor and use Reapers mark I suppouse.

But I still have the feeling that when I get a hit from a elite monster it almost one shot me... is like i need to heal me without stop or consume a lot my stamina to heal me, otherwise i die... that's why I thought maybe my problem is another one else different from just heal me.

Do we have NB some tool to mitigate damage? or should I roll more? or evasion?

    1) Craglorn is not intended as a solo zone at this point, this may or may not change with One Tamriel. While it may be possible to solo some mobs in Craglorn, the majority of them will kill you easily aside from a some specialized builds.

    2) Do you use food to buff your health? Health enchantments? Do you have some points invested into health or are you all about stamina?

I play a bow/dual wield nightblade as well and I haven't run into the issues you're having yet. Sure, I die at times but generally only in public dungeons or when I ignore dodging/blocking. I don't have vigor either and I avoid class abilities and I solo exclusively. The only healing I get are potions, blood craze & bloodthirst.

For PvE, I like using Swallow Soul and Blood Craze (Both are very low resource cost, spammable). Reapers mark on the bow back bar helps as well.

As stated from others Rally and Vigor work really well, but I personally dislike using huge Broadswords on a stealthy character.

Craglorn mobs are harder to deal with a stamblade then with other classes (my magplar, magblade and magsorc have fewer problems). One way to deal with them would be Immovable+Mirage+Rally and then just AOE them with Brawler.

Block and dodge roll, you can't stand there letting powerfull enemies hit you on any DD setup.

Also, if you know your going into a situation where you might take big damage cast vigor on the way in. Don't wait for the damage before you use it.

Buff, endless hail, ambush into the middle of AOE, power extraction, steel Tornado, killer's blade on low health targets for the heal. Brawler and rally is a nice combo for large groups too.

I use food that adds health and Stamina. I'll cast Vigor constantly and I also use rally but that's a two hand skill. I use bow/2h. You have to dodge roll, and block a ton. Always keep moving and don't stand around in one place.

bloodcraze and bloodthirst in dual wield should help you heal for some or most damage taken

Use a two hander and use Rally. Once Rally is leveled up, grow a pair and go into Cyrodiil and follow the zerg lmfao. You'll be feeling like a gawd in no time!

Personally for solo pve content I usually use Bow/2 hander on my Nightblade,
Cleave morphed into brawler hits multiple mobs and stacks a damage shield on you.
Rally increases damage by 20% and heals you. free heals and damage increase all from one buff and the good thing about Rally is it heals you whether your in combat or not, its a self buff, not a Mob debuff so it does not matter if a mob dies or not.

2 hander skills are far more solo player friendly than Duel Wield, plus you have the 2 hander Execute which works when a mob gets to 50% HP. Duel wield does do more damage in group play, which usually involves a healer, but 2 Hander skills have far far more survivability for solo players.

If you have a healer in your group you should be fine, however if you need a healing ability then Vigor is one of your best options.

you can also min max your dps a bit lesser by waering sets with more survivability or with mundus, potions and so on
otherwise , sadly if you wanna survive as stam dd it's the way of vigor preferably with rally (2 handed melee skill)

It's something you'll need to know whether it's appropriate in a given situation, but Power Extraction (the stamina morph of the last skill in the Siphoning tree) can be block-cast to proc Major Brutality while you have Spiked Bone Shield (undaunted skill) and Blade Cloak up to help AoE wasps or the like down, and Mirage if you still need a little extra defensive edge.Sanguine Altar also gives Minor Lifesteal and works well with Spiked Bone Shield. Or even Blood Craze a couple of them to get HoT ticks. Then spin to win.

Sounds like you want to use a broken useless build.
