Skill Point reset?

First time I logged on after today's patch, I could have sworn I saw a message stating that skill points had been reset. Unfortunately in my haste to play, I clicked past it too fast to recall if that's what it really said.

Obviously, they have not been reset. I was hoping they had

I got the same message. Didn't see that anything had been reset though.

Oh THAT message. Yeah I wouldn't pay it any mind. Zenimax stated after the whole IC debacle they will never reset everyone's skill points that way ever again.

If you use the race change thing, your racial skill points are reset, but that is it.

I think it's a holdover from when they still did those, but after console players lost their minds over the first time they experienced it, they just stopped doing it, must have left the code in for "update means reset" that existed before.

Check your Racial passives. Since some of them changed you may get a partial refund and need to purchase the new passive. For example, on my Orc I had 3 skill points refunded and needed to put them back into the new Unflinching passive.

I would also check your champion points. I did not see anything about them being reset, but with dlc before changing a bunch of them, they did reset them. And it came with a message saying your skill points had been reset.

I know. It makes no sense. But whatever.

It was for the racial changes. My orc had 3 points refunded as one of my racials was changed.

We've confirmed that Skill Points were refunded for the Orc passive ability Unflinching and are checking to see if there were any others. Once we have a full list (if there were any others) we'll post them here and add them to the patch notes.

I received the notice on my Redguard, DK (Magic based), so definitely some others affected too.
