How to stop Steel Tornado Trains

Not a long term fix or Nerf thread.

You are dying to Steel Tornado cause you have no Archers.
Evil Hunter: Stamina return plus bonus damage.

Caltrops: Huge snare, will proc Evil Hunter and Siphoning Attacks.

Siphoning Attacks: Stamina and magic return, if you have Nightblades.

Shooting Star: They will have to stand in it and hitting a Zerg ball it's normally half way back up.

Armor Kyne's Kiss 5/5: 10% chance for a stamina and health return with bow attacks not counting DoTs ticks.

BOMBARD: Lock them in place is a Bow attack see above. Now hit it over and over and over.

Rally: Damage buff and HoT

Light Weight Beast Trap: long range crit damage buff

You can fill in the blank spaces with whatever heals, buffs, debuffs and class powers as you see fit. Caltrops can be on your off bar but the bonus crit from Evil Hunter needs to be main bar.

You will be locking them in place you have twice the range so you wouldn't get hit. Both Bombard and Caltrops will proc Evil Hunter Bombard can also proc Kyne's Kiss giving even more stamina and health on top. Drop that Shooting Star as soon as you can. You get three or four people doing and you win at 28 meters they can't keep rolling to you after they were spamming Steel Tornado on no one procing no Evil Hunters.

    Oh. I think most important thing when fighting against zerg is to use Focused Fire tactic, lots of people on single target. Zerglers are usually careless and sloppy as they believe they win easily.

    True but this build will lock them down so the can't run while other Meat bag siege and run and wipe them. Plus with Kyne's Kiss + Evil Hunter + Siphoning Attacks you will never get close to 50% anything

    None of the things you have listed will actually work to a zergball rotating through retreating manuevers and shields.

    Basically they take no damage and aren't snared. When they decide to roll through you, you die.

    Lastly bombard will not achieve what you think it does no matter the scenario, this isn't pve.

    So you are trying to tell me that the build I part in every single night when the Zerg balls start up will not do what I know it does. No group on purge that kind of CCing Kyne's Kiss, Siphoning Attacks and Evil Hunter always proc back to back that plus my 2k regen I with my max cost reduction to stamina I can hit Bombard far more then you can pop Rapid Maneuvers.

    With the bug on Rapid that only removes CCs and not give you immunity you can recast as much as you want I will still be able to out CC you 28m range, broken Rapids and the fact that my anti Zerg build is straight cost reduction and regeneration it's a safe bet that your group will be locked down.

    You should test a build before adding your ideas of what you think may happen.

    NB - Ambush.
    Templar -Toppling charge or javelin.
    DK - talons.
    Sorc -crystall fragment

    2h - stampede.

    The damage is the least of the problems the CC only hits six people that's why you need a team by no means is this a Zerg Buster it's a Zerg Rooters letting your Zerg clean up.

    Nothing will stop Zergs you can only stay strong and carry on.

    Best way to deal with ST zergs? It's easy.
    1. Get DW and level until you get ST.
    2. Find big zerg in your faction that runs ST.
    3. Join zerg.
    4. Press the ST button.
    5. A winner is now YOU.

    Well...
    The question is whether zergs as such are bad.
    I think zergs are a fact of life, so should also occur in ESO !
    The lag should be adressed by other means and ways.

    It is up to us, to find counters in the way we play: "play coordinated".
    as from comments already made in this thread, there are enough countering abilities. The trick is that no single player can cast them at the same time. Coordination in a group is key. Nothing new. Is applied most of the time with sieges and a good leader.

    It is again up to ZOS to balance abilities so that nothing "really" OP comes into being, something that cannot be countered, or something that annihilates zergs.

    So I see this forum NOT as a place to whine about seemingly OP effects of abilities/zergs, but more a place to discuss improvements to the balance that includes proper countering and not nerfing.

    ZoS like the Zergs they wanted Zerg Warfare 200 people on one screen at one time is 66 people on three sides that's nearly 3 full groups or 100 people in a two sided fight does that sound like they wanted anything other side of Zerg on Zerg

    I've tried the bombard thing and it doesn't do squat to any organized zerg that runs retreating.

    PS what's the range on bombard? oh it's less than any other ranged attack if they just decide to focus you.

    Only issue I have with the "anti zerg ball" zerg busting build is it won't bust any zergs.

    I guess I should test it more to be sure it doesn't work lol.

    Dunno, I think these advices are spot on. Exactly how a horde of pug zerglings eventually wipes a stacked ST train.

    They use cheese, so you cheese back.

    Meteor: Makes the train or blob lag out and crash, kills them with 40k fall dmg.

    Spamming ranged AoE, preferably with cc/slow components like Bombard, Volcanic Rune, Encase, Caltrops, Blazing Spear. Drains their resources, gets them stuck in unbreakable cc because of lag.

    Gap closers on the guys that's falling behind, all "mini-stuns" from gap closers prevents them from controlling their character or using skills.

    Be lame = Siege them like crazy from all angles and directions.

    Find out who is leading the raid a.k.a crown. Snipe him. Most raids only have one guy that can lead well lol. They will all panic if he dies, stop moving and try to revive, eat siege, results in even more of them dying.

    However, advices in this threads only works when you have a zerg of your own and therefore outnumber the train. If the raid also have more numbers, there's really no point.
