Yeah, I was playing earlier and having the normal horrid lag and high ping. Two times I was logged out to the log-in screen. I closed the client and updated my video driver as well as a couple windows 10 updates then rebooted. Now i get a launcher, but it's blank. I tried running in compatibility mode for windows 8 too, but nada. Ticket submitted, # 150827-002201.

If you make a shortcut directly to eso.exe in ".....ESO\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client" it will launch the game w/out having to use the launcher. You can also edit the default shortcut to do this. If you log in and your client is outdated, it will tell you "You have attempted to use an outdated client...." and exit, at which point you can manually start the launcher and patch.

I can get the game working, but the client says "unable to retrieve announcements" in the announcements tab, and just gives error 201's when I try to login.

    Ditto for me.
I had terrible lag yesterday, I gave up playing. +999 continuously... restart, good for a few minutes, try to pick a flower and boom. Or go into bank, boom. Or switch weapons, boom.
For the last week it has been fine in PvE but in PvP as usual, in large firefights it lags horribly... except starting yesterday the lag was in both PvE and PvP, and it didn't have to be a firefight.

Today I don't know because I haven't been able to log in.
    Server : NA
When did it start? The lag - PvP it seems ongoing, but completely - yesterday.
When did it start? Unable to log in? today.
I get Error code 315, cannot connect to server.
My isp : Rogers, Ottawa, Ontario.
    Windows 7 Pro.
No I have not done a ticket - I'm guessing you have enough of them already that you should know you have a problem not related to OS, ISP, etc.

    Hello all, fresh update!

We have reports that for most players who were experiencing login issues they have since resolved. Players who are still having trouble should be sure to contact their ISP to determine the next steps to resolve unsatisfactory lag, latency or inability to log in.

    Thank you again!

To clarify this issue, can you please let us know the following:

What server is this happening on? (NA, PTS, or EU)
What operating system are you running on?
When did this first start, and did you have latency or lag issues at all previously?
If you can try, are you getting the same problem on a different server? (EU for NA players, etc)
    Who is your ISP?
Have you submitted a ticket yet, and if so what is the ticket number?

    - NA SERVER
    - Win 8.1
    - Frequently started a week ago, (after Aug 17th) when stealth updates started happening to the game.
    - I don't play on the other servers
    - Bell Canada
    - Yes I submitted a ticket, but I forget the ticket number. Stupid me didn't write it down and it got deleted from my email because of the "we are super busy right now" automated message I received back.

Issues happening where latency is really high and starts stuttering, especially in Craglorn. Surprising, Cyrodiil not so much, unless there is a Sorcerer using bolt escape, liquid lightning or lightning armor.

Also last week I ran into strange issues in Cyrodiil when PvPing, I would suddenly have a loading screen appear for about a second when I was running somewhere or when engaged in battle with another player. Very annoying and was happening relatively frequently.

In addition to the server just stop responding, where I can move my character around but cannot interact with anything, the game is also frequently stops responding all together and I have to go into task manager to shut it down. I have done the repair and all of that and it has not made a difference. This happens about 2-4 times a play session.

Stop trying to blame our ISP for issues that are on your end. Just admit you don't know how to fix it as it is a problem in the base code of the game its self. There is no issue with my ISP because anything else that is done works just fine.

A lot of of the times I have noticed that when playing this game, the latency gets so bad that you basically end up with pockets of built up data that overwhelms the modems.

Basically, you play, lag starts to happen. Things start to slow down/get choppy.
Internet light on modem is fine.
    WAN light suddenly goes out.
    Game stops responding.
    Close game.
Immediately the WAN light comes back on and stays on.

Open game and log back in. Play for half hour. Latency goes up, FPS goes down. Game stutters when trying to press buttons on attacking. Game looses connection to the server though my character can run around.
    Suddenly WAN light goes out.
    Close the game.
WAN light immediately comes back on.

I have tested this over and over again. Same response several times. I am thinking that when your servers are bogged up and lagging, and players are pressing a bunch of buttons and communication stops on your end, all that extra packets of data are overwhelming the modems and causing them to go haywire when our PCs attempt to connect to our ISP's servers. Hence why the WAN light goes out.

(WAN light on modem is not wireless indicator, it indicates if my modem is talking to my ISP's Main servers, I play this game connected to Ethernet).

It sort of reminds me of a DDOS attack where you have so much data trying to be sent at once that it overwhelms the servers, except this is happening with my Modem.

Also, before saying have my ISP give a new modem.. I have had my ISP techs out to my house when this is happening. We have put new line into the house and changed the modem, and this still happens and only happens when I am playing ESO.

It is not my ISP... it IS the game!!!

Yep do NOT try to tell us it is our ISPs - several different ones from outside of the US are affected, and this has only happened over the last couple of days.

You mean to tell me that me contacting BT (in the UK) and complaining to them is going to fix anything for either me or any of my Canadian friends on this thread who use different ISPs?

It does look as though there is a problem with routing our connections to the NA server, but it is NOT down to our ISPs to fix. More likely a problem at your end, with the way connections from outside the US are being dealt with - not good customer service. None of us have a problem with any other game or internet resource.

Is it normal for zenimax to claim its fixed, blame the players, then 10-15 min AFTER it happens again, just as before?

Please PLEASE instead of instantly deciding its 'fixed' and its 'not your problem' do a little checking. I posted a tracert and u simply closed the thread, please investigate and stop 'sweeping' the issue under rugs.

(BTW if clue not taken, its happening again. 3rd time tonight, if following the pattern of the previous 2 times, i'll be locked out of game for an hour or so, the patcher/launcher will be unable to connect for 2+ hours, and I can enter game via launching exe directly. WHEN/IF the launcher can finally connect, in about 10ish minutes it WILL happen again. IE: NOT. OUR. END.)

This is not an ISP problem. It's on Zeni's end.

Just now I had to re-enter my login multiple (~10) times to actually get logged on and get a character to load.

    To answer relevant Qs:

What server is this happening on? NA
What operating system are you running on? Windows 7
When did this first start, and did you have latency or lag issues at all previously? 15 minutes ago. No.
If you can try, are you getting the same problem on a different server? Did not try.
