Imp Still Using Ability After Death

Been killing imps in Reaper's March for trophy item and I keep noticing every once in a wile that they are able to keep using an ability after I have killed them and they are laying on the ground dead. I think this only happens when It starts to use this ability just as I kill it. See short video below.
