Why is there maintance going on over the weekend?

I don't have much time to play during the week. My core play time is the weekend. I got up this morning feeling excited ready to play a little elder scrolls online before continuing on with my day. Except when I login I get a message saying the NA server is undergoing maintenance.
This is prime time. WTF is maintenance being done on Saturday when I actually have time to play the game. Disappointing ....
Going back to Skyrim for the morning. There better not be many of these weekend maintenance sessions or consider my account closed because your maintenance schedule is idiotic.
