Hard to see how you crafted gear will look, before you actually have crafted it.

It is very unclear how your crafted gear will look.The icons in the crafting menu are so small and colorless , that it is always a surprise how it will look like once you crafted your new armor or weapon.
My question is: isn't there any website out there where all those armors and weapons are listed with a clear picture?

meh.. maybe for the cloth / leather ones but my metal armors looked alright (was already 34ish or so when the patch hit)

Actually, I felt that they put a lot more color into lvl 40 armors, before everything past tier 3 looked very monochromatic. There are however many colorful options for low levels. Try Altmer or Breton robes.
Also, eso-fashion is updating their screenshots.0
