So i think it is unlikely.

And no , lol is not a disagree , people post funny things they get lols , you disagree with someone , they also get lols , this just makes it even more useless because overall it indicates nothing really.

Yeah, 'Disagree' sounds a tad too harsh for this forum, although I'd like to see this implemented.

I imagine a new forum achievement - "You've earned 100 Disagrees. You suck!"

Problem with a disagree option is that it would get abused too much.

If you disagree with what someone says, I would rather you explained why than just hit a button.

Maybe instead of disagree we could have the "Banish to Oblivion" button. That works with the ESO roleplay friendly staff. After a post got enough banishment votes, it goes straight to the nutter bin where it can be reviewed later, for research purposes.

That was my one worry. People already don't explain why the disagree, this would gave them more reason not to post.

There was a disagree option.
There was also a troll option.
They removed them.

The problem with the disagree option is that you have trolls who will generously spam it because they're PO'd or for no other reason than to cause mischief. This was the case during beta and created some frustration among pretty everyone on here, to a degree at least.

Now if the disagree option doesn't incur negative forum points this time around, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

How about go back there cry that you cant downvote folks in here, basically for anything.

you have threads in here with 5k+ views counts, where you have like DOZEN of any kind of votes.

People just dont care about you, and not going to give you anything -even one click.

On the other hand with that option avaible people would start to "disagree" like crazy. Cos suddenly this is important for you to know that they dont like your opinion, gramars, vocabulary, country, in game race and class selection, etc

Hey there, everyone. We appreciate your feedback on the layout and structure of the forums -- we're continuing to make changes based on some of your feedback. We previously offered the "disagree" flag, but we found during beta testing that it was not often used appropriately. Instead, we find that if a player disagrees with another user, it's much more productive to provide their reasoning rather than using a reaction flag.

Also, if you have any feedback about our forums structure, be sure to provide that to us in this recent sticky thread. Thank you all for your input!

I think the flags we have are fine. Agree with something? There often isn't anymore to be said then "yeah, I agree." Think something is funny? You can have a bunch of "LOL" posts that don't contribute anything to the discussion, or you can flag it and let the OP know you think it is funny, you just have nothing to add.

If you disagree with something, there is always something more to say. What do you disagree with? Why do you disagree with it? If everyone just used "Disagree" and didn't post anything, there wouldn't be much of a discussion going on at all.

Yeh the LOL button has pretty much two meanings atm and depending on the post content you can make a pretty good guess which kind is meant most of the time.

Spawniaq, you should probably check the dates of threads you are replying to, since this is the second one I've seen you necro. If you want to rehash discussions from 2014, just start a new thread. That's a lot less likely to get closed by the mods.
