Creating a Solo Guild?

OK, first off. I'm sort of a solo player that love's collecting mats and junk (packrat) but i'm now at the point where different chars are holding different stuff for craft schools and such, then I had an idea!!

Not sure if it will work which is why i'm asking here first ;)

- If I bought a 2nd copy of ESO and installed that on my other laptop with a new account, would I be able to use those 8 chars to make a 16 player guild (ie all my own chars) ?
I want access to a Guild vault to store general mats.
- Does that account have to stay active then to be in a guild?
- Once I've had over the 10 players needed to open a guild vault does it have to stay over 10 to remain open or can it slide down to less than 8 chars then?

Just a few questions i'm needing answers to before I go out to the shops ;)

Thx.

If it's like most other MMOs all the starting members of a guild have to be in game at the founding of the guild.

If I recall right, the guild bank requires 10 accounts.

This. 10 accounts, not 10 characters.

Guilds are meant to be social constructs, not cheap ways to get more bank space.

Yep you would need 10 accounts to get access to the bank space. And you would have to maintain subs on each of those account to maintain bank access. Would get very, very expensive for you.

^^This^^ is the issue, had people wanting to start solo guilds in SWTOR, it simply defies the whole point of a guild.

Don't they also have access to the guild vault thou? I doubt i'd get many takers on an invite like "casual gamer, who sort of just wanders around a lot like a hermit collecting from the land, levelling real slow seeks Guildies to not have any benefits or vault access. Apply here...." ;)

Wouldn't be an issue if vault space wasn't so expensive. You fill a vault faster than you can level to pay for the next level of vault. Oh and don't get me started on bag space per char......
MMO's never cater for the Hermit Packrats anymore.

Of course they'ld have access, the whole point is to share in a guild, not have a huge bank.

Try a trading guild, you won't be able to store vast quantities there either, but maybe you could trade some of the stuff you're collecting, and buy when you need to craft stuff.

Find 9 friends, rl or online, that you trust and form a guild. No one takes what they didn't put in without asking- problem solved. Lol.

Yeah I guess it's gonna have to be a problem I carry the burden for myself.
    I don't do Guilds anymore.
Lost to many good friends over the years when they either quit, died, grew up, ect.
Also have the "Ultima Online" issue (12 years of collecting) where a 'trusted' guildie robbed the entire guild before deleting it all and closing his account.
I'll just have to pawn the low level stuff now that it's not worth much anyway.

Well bank space is a PITA and kudos to who for trying to find a workaround.

You dont need to sub on all 10 accounts but you do need to pay for the key so you nedd to buy the base game. Subscriotion means paying for eso plus but you dont need to do that to start a guild bank. Just 10 accounts and paid base game which you could do with crowns...so you could buy with ingame gold. That is how ive seen people do it.

The best thing about having your own guild is you dont have to pay post if you want to share items just put into guild bank and your other accou t can access items if you give them permission...this is an old post but my info is good.

In the beginning subs were required. Not once, but now twice this was necro'd. If you knew it was 8 years old, why bother replying?

    Greetings,

We have closed this topic as it was originally created in May 2014. In many cases, it's better to create a new thread on a topic that you want to discuss as opposed to bumping one that is rather old.

    Thank you for your understanding.
