Punishable Actions by Game Moderation

Since every time i ask the answer is "Please check our Code of Conduct" and everything is too vague there, i wanted to create a list of punishable actions explicitly, aside from verbal communication (whispers, text chat, etc.). So please help me to complete this list about what got you a warning/ban in the past, that doesnt involve text chat. Feel free to write for all game modes, PvP, PvE, Overland, etc. I am going to update the list whenever i get a new entry. So we will be sure what exact action may land a player a warning. I am mostly wondering if anyone got a warning before for using an emote or can we assume using emotes are safe?

Cyrodiil:
- Repeatedly crouching (tbag) on top of a dead body when other player whispers you to stop and you dont.
- Repeatedly crouching (tbag) on top of a dead body (when in Offline Mode, so no whisper received).

If you’re doing something that another player asks you to stop, or they try to ask you anyways, and you keep doing it, that is considered harassment. Being in sneak to camp a body to prevent them from being rezzed, doing nothing else, is just a PVP tactic. All alliances do it, and though it is annoying to the dead, you’re only preventing an in-game tactic with another in-game tactic.

I only ever had disciplinary actions against me in the forums & can recommend to no public discuss their actions since thats against the ToS

I am just wondering what are the actions you can ask other players to "stop" ? We know for sure tbagging on top of a dead body is one of them.

I am not discussing their actions, i got same warning before, as well. I am just asking what got people a warning before, especially about doing emotes, not discussing about them. The section you posted is also about the forums, i am asking for in-game.

I've heard of players being banned for aoe farming on the spawn points inside a keep but idk if its a real thing.
Basically doing some negative action against another player you can be banned if it can be deemed harassment so its best to just avoid this.

There are for example some builds in Cyrodiil with 50k hp (cant be killed by a single person) and just chasing you and spamming knockback skills on you. Is this behaviour punishable? Or constantly just bashing? Do we know that?

Or another exact question, do we know if you do dancing emote on a top of a dead body, is this behaviour punishable? Or looking at a player, staying in 20m distance and using a grave digging emote, is this punishable?

Or chasing a player, not being able to kill them, but chasing for a long time?

These kind of questions are boggling my mind, what is the exact definition of "negative actions against another player" in Cyrodiil? Because there are unlimited possibilities what anyone can do in an open world PvP environment.

Essentially the answer based on the TOS is that yes you could potentially be banned for that depending on whether the CS thinks it constitutes a breach.

Yesterday for example i was really annoying one certain player by just deliberately getting close to them, light attacking and directly leading to our castle while they were chasing me (they would kill me on 1v1 for sure), and i got them killed like 4 times doing that. At some point they were so frustrated, they kept coming back. And at some point we were alone and they killed me, and instantly started tbagging out of frustration, which i totally get.

But the thing is, i have Steam background video recording going on all the time. And since we are annoying each other i am in ignored list of this player and i know that. When i think of it, i could/can in the future easily set them up like this, and land them a warning. Because all i had to do was just to whisper them to stop. Since i know the whisper will not go through, they will 100% get a warning/ban.

When i think of it, it is really crazy. Because sometimes i am getting set up similarly in Cyrodiil. And the possibilities of what everything can happen there...

Can't we all just enjoy the game and treat each other respectfully?

    Ah well, one can dream.

Correct, also their actions don't matter, so quite often in cyrodiil people will try and provoke you to do some 'bad' action towards them so they can get you banned. That provocation is ignored only the reported players actions are considered.

Lets say they tbag you multiple times and you don't report it, you can 'respond' by tbagging them once and get banned for that.

How can you ask another player to stop? this is what makes this so rediculous.

theyre often on a different alliance - so you cant "zone" chat or "say" to them
you'd have to get their gamertag / name - which you cant do or target them when dead - and often when youve ressed -theyve run off
you have to do it after the event - which is too late - and the deed has already happened
or they have to do it twice, which is twice too much

so frankly, it just needs to be stopped.

its quite easy to remedy this - make it so you cant go within 2 meters of another player when crouched (or it takes you out of it)

There's an addon called 'Target Whisper' and you can type their name in manually. /whisper <name> or /whisper <@ name>

I'm afraid that making such a list is impossible. The code of conduct, tos, and basically every "official" statement from zos is always vague on purpose, so they can interpret/apply it any way fits them best at the time. There are youtube videos available where they basically admit this during calls with (former) content creators, but I won't provide links because I don't know if that would be considered an offense. :)
