Fighters Guild Final Quest Bug

During the fighters guild quest "Will of the Council" in the Halls of Submission after fighting with Aelif and destroying the mortum vivicus, the journal says i have to use the portal to go to Earth Forge, and when i'm on earth forge it says i have to go to Halls of Submission again, and so, a loop.

Not sure if i skip something.

Are you using the portal in the Fighter's Guild?

One should have appeared.

Yeah, you need to go to a particular Fighters Guild and go to the location where there's a portal to the Earth Forge. I believe it varies by alliance, and I know that for the Daggerfall Covenant it's located upstairs in the Fighters Guild that's in Evermore, in Bangkorai. Since Bangkorai is the final/fifth zone of the Daggerfall Covenant, I'm guessing the portal would be in the Fighters Guild in Reapers March for the Aldmeri Dominion, and in the Fighters Guild in the Rift for the Ebonheart Pact.

Check the hints under the quest on your screen see if that gives any clues to missing something.

Okay, so you are able to get to the Earth Forge zone. I think the Halls of Submission is where one of the set crafting areas is-- not the first crafting area, which is through the door on the left as you go down the path from where the portal is, but rather the second crafting area, which is further down that path and straight ahead, inside the building and down the corridor.

Once you've ported to the Earth Forge, have you tried going to the Journal and selecting the Map option to see if it shows you where to go next?

After you’ve killed Aelif, Jofnir instructs you to use the Prismatic weapon to destroy the Mortuum Vivicus, once done, & after a short pause, Jofnir will automatically transport you to the Earth Forge for the final part of the quest .. you do not need to use a portal yourself.

If you used a portal to the Earth Forge instead of waiting, try going back to the Halls of Submission & see if you can either use the Prismatic weapon again, or speak to Jofnir, if he’s still there

.. if you can’t find any way to continue, you might have to abort the quest, & then start it again (just the final quest)

I left the game and did not connect until just a few minutes ago and somehow it was fixed, when I enter the forge all the characters appear.

Sometimes the best way to fix a temporarily-buggy quest is to run away and give it time to reset. That happened to me with a quest in Craglorn-- I mucked it up by not understanding what I was supposed to do (something about going back and forth to kill spawns on different sides of the room), causing the quest to glitch such that there was no way to kill the boss and finish the quest. I left it alone for a day or two, and when I finally returned to try again everything was hunky dory.

Anyway, I'm glad time was able to heal all wounds quest glitches for you!

Can confirm I have this bug too... quest is in an infinite loop. I have tried waiting, but nothing after much time has passed... I've tried taking the portals, logging out - closing app etc... still nothing will break the infinite loop.

This may seem like a necro-thread but the bug still exists. I just wanted to create the attunable stations on my alt who just needed to finish the Fighter's Guild Questline and the final quest is bugged.

Trashing the quest and retaking it does not fix it. It just continues to the same loop when I retake it. Here is proof of the endless loop:

As I just posted the bug to the F1 Help support, Entering the portal to the Earth Forge suddenly was resolved and Jofnir and the rest of the NPCs spawned in at the Earth Forge. That was some fast support!

I have encountered this bug as well but in the past someone suggested me that i should use the weapon we forge during the quest. Maybe it was pure coincidence though.
