Vengeance should have enforced pop balance by placing you on the lowest pop faction

The point of the campaign is to get as many players as possible fighting each other. It's a performance test. Every time slot has insane population imbalance other than NA prime time. Right now at 2am pacific, EP has 100+ players capturing the entire map while AD and DC have maybe 15 players each.

ZOS, you would get way more data if you just placed each player onto the lowest pop faction when they joined Vengeance. In this campaign, players don't have the tools to fight outnumbered. There's no point in playing Vengeance unless the factions are pop balanced.

A group of players should be able to join the same faction so they can play with each other. But different groups of players should get placed on difference factions to enforce population balance.

This is definitely an interesting idea.

By the end of Vengeance it was clear that folk were bandwagoning over to AD because they were running the biggest zergs and that was the easiest way to gain AP.

What about people who want to play with their friends?

But your point about there being no point in playing vengeance mode when outnumbered is one of the reasons no version of the vengeance mode should ever go live. Vengeance mode made the whole game just about stacking and PvDoor'ing. There is no skill involved, just a bum rush of rioters taking keeps. It was horrible game play.

On Sunday afternoon and early evening there wasn't even pop lock on any faction, accept AD which hovered at near the cap. This tells me that the game mode had already worn out it's welcome in less than a week. People were already bored with it.

Barring Faction PVP RP, since the stats are standardized this would actually aim to augment to experience in making fights feel more balanced. However there is merit to being able to call your buddies and stack further your team to pop limit and clean sweeping (using your Charisma/Personality/Speechcraft skills to recruit more for your faction). I think Vengeance needs to be faction-locked to keep it competitive but considering that a fresh character can be viable due to templated stats that will likely not stop faction stacking due to how easy pumping out alts for each faction is. There is a cynical "war is hell" drama in OP's idea - imagine fighting beside a player one day then seeing them on an opposing faction on a different night. Could be funny!

This has already been a problem on PS NA as for the last 5+ months on the grey host map. AD has ruled the map to the point it is all yellow every morning. Sometimes it is red. This last Saturday during the day it was 3y 3r 1b. Sunday was terrible too, hardly any DC was on. Everyone has gone to AD why? Is it that funny to own a solid map, own all the scrolls and collect little to no AP all day? DC barely even gets the low pop bonus. Sometimes there will be 2 bars of EP on but they won’t push anything. Are they playing for yellow? Who knows. They need to ratchet down the populations better. Each faction should not get another bar until they are all equal. Some days it is 3y 1r 0b. People log in and leave because it’s not fun to go take a resource and 30 yellows come and slaughter you because nothing else is going on. I should have saved that video, it was nuts.
