I know this is about Eso, but honestly something didnt let me go and in a circle of weeks i think about VI. A while ago i collected some ideas of how TES VI should/could be a success in my view and for my personal preferences. Further i just want to share these mind-games with you and ask to you: What should Tes VI be/looks like to make it a success for you.
Right from the beginning:
-huge world
-handcrafted world/spots
-Details Details Details
-singleplayer experienced
-increased grafics / come on it is 2025!
This was Bethesda in the games that made them great for and over generations.
-new crafting System, pls dont cut half out of it like in starfield shipbuilder-system
-no copyied from Things in new look like dragonstones in Skyrim and temples in starfield
-put in as much as possible Systems (Mounts/housing/Crafting/Guilds) and made them meaningfull (feed your horse/ craft weapons and housingstuff/ outranged guild-quests
-Players dont want microtransaktion-stuff for housing like 76 - make it craftable
-dont think about microtransactions or think that a base storyline is sellable as dlc
-charactercreation (Players build their uniqu characters the Play for Hours)
-Optiona Options Options (make the Players Play their game with their individual Options from ui to gamemachanics like survival technichs)
-ui needs to be configurable
-modern ui in oldscool fantasy style with an high accesability for Players
(look at EdgeUI, 10K downloads after 4 days!)
-modern Combat (About 500 modern combat mods on Nexus, look at the download numbers!) and look, even skeptikal at crimson desert (maybe could) make possible in mixtures of different
dynamic combat-styles incl. animations/ cinematics and how to set combat in Scenes (it`s already 2025!)
-melee Combat needs a strong overhaul. it has to be fluid and different playstyles Needs to be
viable
-Terrain/map can be part/maybe even useable part of Combat. light armor typos may could use walls/boxes slide over it, kick it, use walls for jumping dagger Moves, so on. Light armor typos
are really hard to play on small maps like Dungeons in Skyrim. i think it needs an overhaul to make them more playable/ interesting/ give them accesability and make them more nesessary/viable on harder difficulties.
-Characters/NPC. again, it is 2025! if you go for cinematic Dialogs in an storybased game Players spent hours in dialogs an staring at the npc`s on screen. So ist a huge part of the game and then pls look at vanilla Starfield-NPC and how every single high-res NPC overhaul, espacialy with hdr makes them alive. This is 2025! Low res vanilla heads from starfield, again it is a mainpart of Storytelling/storybased game, take the Player totally to another time after Looking half an hour to Nasa-highres Landscape Textures
On top, synchroniced mouth/speaking animations which simply doesnt exist. Doesnt matter in what language! But again, dialoge`s/Dialog scenes are a huge important part. Even if you overhauld the NPC Textures and you want to look and listen to the Dialogs, this breaks simply everything. This unsync animations leads to, that players cant look further on screen and Looking elswhere, but not on screen. It totaly breaks the Dialogs/Szenes/Immersion but mostly important, this part breaks one of the mainpart from the game itself. In Eso is not that important but this breaks totaly the point of storydriven-singleplayer experience.
(Try it for real: go out or maybe on you next teammeeting, sit opposite of someone and speak to a Person without moving you mouth. Second part: Sit in opposite of two persons while one is speaking and the one you are Looking at is just moving it`s mouth.)
-meaningful player choices (not just pick this or this drink with no relevance to the next dialoge-line or even the quest itself)
-fill places with NPC not everyone has to be meaningfull, but make the places invigorates
-questdesign -> different NPC`s could maybe give a different intro/start to one quest
Nobody expect it like as good to be like Skyrim, but Players expect a Bethesda-Game again, a Elder Scrolls Title. All Titels were great at the time and for the Generations as they came out.
Think forward. Feel the Generation, look at their games in this time and listen to the generations of fans that love Elder-Scrolls and Bethesda-Games.
Then i went back to the days since when pc games didnt went better. And i landed back in middelearth, back in the shadow of war. No it`s not about middelearth but what makes this game so incredible great an unique, the so called Nemesis-System and its one of the last great gaming systems i saw. Relations between Character and Orc`s, it just writes the story. Relations from Npc to Nps that build synergies to make them stronger.

Honestly i pretty concerned about combat/combat system and how it looks like in TES VI and asked myself could that be an option for a really deep-dive into more meaningful combat. Is that Nemesis-System an option even for TES VI?
So i want to ask here what did you expect for an succesfull TES VI. What are your thinkings about it and what did you expect in TES VI that makes it as good as possible.
