Locked out of Anniversary Event - Extension?

I just got back to playing after a year. I have not yet played the newest Anniversary Event. What enticed me to come back was the Scribing system (this is my dream ESO update) and naturally I waited to log on to the PTS the moment it went up ( I was maybe too excited to test all the Grimoires).
However, before creating a PTS character, the server went down.

Now my account is temporarily locked (terribly explained as a ban by the system). I haven't even had the chance to create the unique Cake for the year and now there is a very real chance I may never be able to because I assumed I had 7 days left to create it like it says on the launcher.

This is genuinely so frustrating, and punishing for no reason. At the very least the event should be extended so that the most eager among us can actually participate.

They should extend it. Hopefully they will.

They probably have to see how long the account rollbacks will take before deciding how long to extend it.
