That happened to me too, but then in my notifications, I had an emote that wasn't in the first crate. I concluded that the second crate was opened for me automatically (when the game froze).

But there is. A second Gold Coast Experience Scroll and 5 Crown Gems. And the rest of the loot history we can't see, because u interrupted it by opening the menu.
My guess is, there was an automaticaly exchange for maybe a second Housecat into 5 Crown Gems, one more exp scroll and 2 more things, u would have seen in the loot history with... more patience?

The problem with not showing the content of an crown crate while opening i had a few times now too. Not espacially with this crates, but with others from time to time. And in every case i could reproduce what was inside. I'm pretty sure it's "just" a visual bug while opening.
