I just imagine an IT trouble shooter with a lit cigarette in his mouth mumbling about how he hates the equipment, and then he kicks the server which magically begins to work again.
True story, I’m a retired Navy Pilot. On deployment, we had a FLIR turret in our aircraft. Cost was over 1 mill dollars. We needed it for a specific mission and no one could get it to work. Time to launch was reaching critical condition level. Our head trouble shooter came back out to the flight deck. I could see him from the my pilot seat, screaming at the turret. And then he raised his right hand and punch the turret so hard. A million dollar piece of equipment.
Then it worked the rest of deployment with zero issues.
