Best places to pickpocket?

Personally, I'm looking for places there are lots of people to pickpocket, and low to no guards. But if you have suggestions of valuable places to pickpocket, that'd be cool too.

I usually use vulkhel guard, but that's just because I don't know anywhere better... Thinking about checking gold coast, since I know there are lots of people to murder...

Any suggestions?

There's a little cave at the end of Ald'Ruhn, in Vvardenfell - in said cave, there are loads of Mage Scholars who literally never pay attention to anything, so pickpocketing them is quite easy. Once you've drained their inventories, back-stab them, wait for about 1 minute, and they'll respawn; there's a whole cycle/rotation for it, hence a constant supply of targets to rob blind, and then murder.

It's a pretty popular spot though, so off-peak hours are most definitely advised.

Pickpocketing in Vvardenfell has a chance to drop motif pages from the Great Houses, which makes it a very popular spot.

Vivec City has a couple of good spots, and it's conveniently close to the Outlaw Refuge. But these spots are pretty popular as well.

There is a loop you can run in Wayrest that includes four (maybe five) nobles and a few drunks. The nobles can give you a furniture recipe for a throne that last time I tried sold for a good bit of gold. The drunks drop all kinds of fun things. There is a guard that walks the circle where the nobles are but you can get a timing down to always be away from him.. Also a guard that paces back and forth near the drunks but he is easy to dodge. When your bags are full the thieves hideout isn't to far away.

Town of Vos in Vvardenfell. Only 3 guards who patrol at the street. Just the right amount of NPCs to rob and kill that they start spawning again when you finish the cycle. Just be careful with the violent lizard and dunmer at the terrace. they usually see you stealing from the other and attack you (if this happens you can take them behind the corner and kill them without anyone else witnessing). Bonus: chance to get Vvardenfell motifs.

Is the cave called Ramimilk? If so it would appear the NPC's are no longer pickpocketable! That or I'm in the wrong cave. The only other cave I can see in the area is locked (Skar) so I am guessing level locked. I suspect this is the cave the OP was referring to? Anyone know the name of the correct cave in question?

It was indeed Ramimilk, which was nerfed shortly after the post was made four years ago. It was one of the top gold making places in the game, but apparently ZOS didn't want assassins making that much coin.

Windhelm, a lot of drunkards that are easy targets. Just use sneak detection reduction sets, some targets are in tight spots.

Nobles tend to drop slightly better loot I think and are the only ones that drop the various throne blueprints that sell for a good amount.

When I was grinding for the 1 million gold made selling stolen stuff achievement I ran a loop in Sadrith Mora, Vvardenfell. It wasn't the easiest place but once you get in the groove it's a good spot. That town I believe all npcs have a chance to drop the Telvanni, Hlaalu and Redoran motifs.

For fun and a challenge I used to focus on this one Argonian vampire on the roof of the bank in Valyn Harbor- vampire NPCs have a chance to drop the coffin and coffin lid blueprints.

Thanks, well that has at least cleared that up! Shame huh! Never mind, just have to keep at the nobels. Thanks again.

Balmora in Vvardenfell is great. There's only a few guards and 2 other people to really watch for. Also there's a few houses to break into with npcs holding loot for you. >:) Both cities in the Gold Coast have back alleys with lots of npcs wandering around if you need to complete an endeavor quickly.

According to this weeks' (31st July, 2023) 'Weekly Endeavor', the task is to pickpocket 'ITEMS'. The quality of the items doesn't matter, AFAIK.
Is it possible to pickpocket more than one item at a time or not? 'Coz this is taking ages and I can't level my Arcanist, Legerdemain too low. lol

    Thanks.

We have gone ahead and closed this thread down since it is rather old. Please keep in mind that sometimes it is better to create a new topic, instead of replying in one that was posted a while ago. Thanks for your understanding.
