
I'd have made the "maze" a giant loop with little trinkets along the path. Then the end of the loop is a one way door at the beginning of the place as is Elder Scrolls tradition these days.

Been a long time since I last levelled it but don't you need to spend quite a long time doing the repeatable quests to up your thieves guild rank enough to progress the story quests?
