1. There is no ambiguity only multiple solutions that can get you over the challenge.
2. It's logical and fair.
3. It gives transferable skills.
4. It can be used to build anything.
5. It takes little effort to learn at your own pace. (As opposed to in college where they cram as much stuff in a short time)
6. It is fun once the initial resistance is gone. Think of certain games that came out this year.
7. No matter what anybody feels about it, pure mathematics is either right or wrong.
8. It gives a rewarding challenge where you have to use all the tools to build a solution against the challenge.
9. It's the cheapest form of entertainment a pencil and paper or a tablet with a pen.
10. It exposes discrepancies in words that are told vs the actual results.
11. It allows one to look at life differently
12. It can tell you what is plausible and what is not before committing to it.
13. It can be used to build a whole system and now it's outcome before the first hammer is struck.
People look at math as boring, hard, or something they can never do. This is false. When you buy that new game with no familiar controls, you are bad at it. Over time you pick up tools and learn how the game functions. Then you get a little better at it. Then after 100 hours, you have found a system that works for you to get you through the game. Math is no different in fact it IS THE ULTIMATE GAME! You have the way mathematics works. 1+1 = 2 is like movement in a game. It's simple, predictable, unchanging. Then you have weapons like the quadratic formula. Integration by parts, euler's method. Yes, there is a "stat requirement" to wield these weapons. That's why everyone is started with a simple weapon at the beginning to help build you up to them. You can't wield a huge greatsword if you haven't even built the skill to use it.
Everybody is using mara's balm!! wouldn't it be cool to say "everybody is using Maxwell's equations". The problem is society. You would do math if it was seen equivalently. These famous mathematicians see math as an open world game where they can do anything and manipulate anything in it. There are also challenging beasts in this open world game where they have to use their weapons, resources, tools, and environment to beat it.
Geniuses ARE NOT BORN! The reason why people cling to one thing for a long time is because they feel safe. They don't want have feel that feeling of being around unfamiliar things.
Feeling like they are starting new. You ARE NOT STARTING NEW. You played a game and passed it. You can do mathematics. You committed years into a game. YOU CAN DO MATHEMATICS.
