Not sure if I'm a fan of a set that applies minor brittle because that would only make fire staff brittle a thing, thus making ice inferior for dps. We don't need more reasons to just use fire. but the first one is definitely interesting. Minor brittle should remain as is on the ice staff. But bonus interactions with minor brittle already being applied are cool. For example i made the Nunatak suggestion where your chilled status effect's damage proc increases in damage as an enemy's health gets lower. Which specifically rewards the user for applying chilled and therefore brittle, as much as possible instead of just keeping a consistent uptime every 4 seconds.
Do you have any new ideas for a monster helmet? Since we need more of those. Iceheart is still the only one after like 5 years

    Frostbreath: ( Ice Wraith boss.)

1 Piece: Adds 657 Critical Chance
2 Piece: Whenever you deal Critical Damage against a target affected by Minor Brittle, you summon an icy gale for 7 seconds that deals 1000 Frost Damage to all enemies in the area. Enemies in the area also take 25% more damage from your Frost Damage over time effects. This effect can occur every 10 seconds.

interesting but seems a bit over budgeted. 1000 every 1 second as a base is too huge, when 1000 buffed is small, but alright if it has a strong additional effect to make it useful like you've listed here, however this seems a bit too strong. In terms of frost DoTs this would buff icy rage, ice comet and northern storm to a god tier degree. i think you'd see alot of people running icy rage with this. but at the same time you'd also have a super charged winter's revenge which is already a very good DoT. seems pretty strong. what about instead experimenting with extending durations of aoe frost DoTs?

That could work. Was just thinking of a way to make a Frost DoT build work. Could reduce the DoT buff or as you suggest increase the duration of DoT skill while effect is up.

the only duration extention skill in the entire game is the werewolf ultimate as far as i'm aware. so it could be pretty unique.

no, it doesn't increase duration while a skill is already active, it just increases the duration at base.

I like the idea of gradually freezing something to the point of being a literal icecube and then shattering it into a thousand pieces, so:
    (5) Each tick of Frost Damage over Time applies 1 stack of "Popsicle" to the enemy for 10 seconds, up to a maximum of 50. Each stack slows the target by 1% and increases damage taken by your non-Frost Direct Damage abilities by 1%. Dealing non-Frost Direct Damage consumes all stacks of "Popsicle". At 50 stacks, the attack is a guaranteed Critical Hit.

Since we have sets like Hrothgar, that basically gives you free damge potential, as it does not scale with your stats, but rather stats of your target, the only thing fair, would be to add set that aims to do the opposite - Adds defensive to you, based on the attacker's offensive stats (it is just a "parody" set, simply to show how broken Hrothgar is lol).

    Original Hrothgar bonus:
(5 items) Stunning or Immobilizing your enemy causes them to burst with frost magic, applying the Chilled status effect and dealing 13% of their total Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance as Frost Damage to themselves and enemies within 8 meters of them. This effect can occur once every 7 seconds and ignores Spell Resistance
(5 items) When you are effected by a crowd controll effect, you burst with frost magic that applies X% Heal Absorption and Chilled status effect to all enemies within 8 meters, also increasing your armour by X% of the attackers Weapon damage & Spell Damage. This effect can occur every 7 seconds and armour portion of this effect can not be reduced by offensive penetration.

Now, let's do an "opposite" of Plaguebreak (again, just a joke to showcase how broken this set is lol):

    Original Plaguebreak bonus:
(5 items) Dealing direct damage to an enemy, who is not a Plague Carrier, turns them into a Plague Carrier for 10 seconds, dealing 1715 Disease Damage over the duration. If the plague is removed early, it explodes, infecting enemies within 8 meters of the carrier and dealing 712 Disease Damage. The explosion deals an additional 50% damage per enemy hit. This effect can occur once per attack and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
(5 items) Taking direct damge, turns your skin into pure ice for 10 seconds, healing you for X health over the duration. If the healing will be removed or reduced early, your icy skin explodes, healing you and your allies with 8 meters for X health. The heal gets stronger by 50% per ally hit and scales off the higher of your Maximum Magicka or Stamina.

And now, let's try the "opposite" of Dark Convergence... (again, don't treat this seriously  )

    Original Dark Convergence bonus:
(5 items) Casting abilities that leave an effect on the ground will create an area that applies a 60% snare and pulls enemies after a 1 second delay, stunning them for 1 second. After 4 seconds, the area deals 821 Magic Damage to all enemies in the 10 meter area, and 1642 Magic Damage to enemies within 3 meters of the center, increasing by 50% for each target. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
Being affected by ground - placed AOE, applies 60% movement speed bonus and after 1 seconds pulls you to the nearest edge of AOE applying CC immunity. After 4 seconds you are healed by X and for additional X for every ally within 10 meters. This heal is increased by 50% for every ally within 3 meters. This effect can occur every 15 seconds and scales off the higher of your Maximum Magicka or Stamina.

    Shattering Heart:

    5 Piece:
Enemies killed by your Frost damage effects always have the frozen death animation but instead of crumbling to dust they shatter, dealing x Frost Damage to all enemies within 5 meters.

seems super niche. not sure if it's that useful.

Would be good for trash and maybe pvp ball groups. But idea was more for fun and rp.

Remember. Ideas can be dumb and silly too. Part of this thread is having fun.

    Frostburn:

    5 Piece:
When you apply Chilled to an enemy, you also apply a Frost Damage burning status effect to the enemy. The duration of this burn resets when the affected enemy takes further Frost Damage and it’s damage increases by 5% stacking up to 10 times.
