It just works. The login server is crying to it's death and many players get dc at every zone change or so but HEY, it just works.
Sometimes I do pvp, sometimes I do pve, sometimes I'm on break, sometimes I'm part of some players that can't login, that's kinda life

Xbox NA here. Can’t login, the game cannot retrieve server info at main screen. Impressive work on a Saturday Zos.

PS5 here, I can log in to other characters but not the one I was on when I crashed. It gets to the load screen and gray screens.

This might seem like a long shot, but I've had almost no disconnects since making the following change.

Basically, I used to lose connection at least once or twice a day, and my computer was actually losing its WiFi connection to my network. I tried a number of recommended solutions but nothing helped. I eventually found a recommendation to change the WiFi roaming aggressiveness, and disabling that option entirely has stopped my computer from dropping its WiFi network connection, so now I enjoy a more steady connection in ESO. I might get an occasion disconnect, but it's rare.

Obviously, this won't matter if you use a wired connection instead of WiFi, and you'd think that a stationary desktop computer would be able to maintain a continuous connection to a stationary WiFi router, but apparently my WiFi connection was losing enough signal strength and dropping below the threshold that would trigger it to start roaming for a stronger signal. As I said, I've now disabled the option entirely-- because it doesn't even make sense on a stationary computer that's connecting to a stationary WiFi router-- and now I never lose WiFi while playing ESO.

Like I said, it might seem like a long shot, but if you connect to the internet using WiFi then it couldn't hurt to try. Just search for "change wifi roaming aggressiveness in windows" for instructions.

I’m hard wired on Xbox. Haven’t been able to play much since the Waking Flames update. Submitted multiple tickets, emails, messaging on here with support but no end in sight to the problem.

Don't worry, if you get in, there is so much lag you basically can't play anyway.

Playing with lag is a basic mmo skill that goes back my 22 years of mmoing. ESO is not special in this 😜

Well, darn. I updated to Windows 11 the other day, and just now I'm soloing a dungeon and suddenly nothing is responding, then I'm disconnected. My computer is doing the WiFi/noWiFi/WiFi dance again.

I go and check the roaming aggressiveness in the device managed and the update to Windows 11 had oh-so-helpfully set it back to the default setting. :<

Now that I've disabled it again, hopefully I can go back to playing without these annoying losses of internet connection.

Windows 11 is for all intents and purposes in extended beta. It's far too soon to be running it on other than test rigs.

Since the patch it happened a few times that after entering the password and before the character selection, my game crashed. The second login worked every time until now.

Lag in ESO is not like in any other MMO I've ever played. ESO is unique in how they get away with so many performance deficiencies and still have a customer base. It's a testament to how good the basic design of the game is, and how poorly managed ZOS is as a company.

I haven't had any issues at all since the last time all the servers went down, whenever that was - a week ago maybe?

It's also a testament to the fact that performance issues are hugely related to playstyle, and those who don't play competitive PvE or venture into Cyrodiil largely avoid such issues.

I will have to disagree with that statement. While true that you are more likely to get disconnected or lagged out in certain situations... my guildies and I have it happen fairly constantly throughout the entire game, regardless of activity or even lack thereof in many cases. I have been disconnected simply standing around and chatting. Yesterday I was doing numerous story & prolog quests in base game zones, which were mostly empty, yet my skills wouldn't fire or had a very long delay in firing off.

I was experiencing the same problem yesterday PS4 NA. Could log into EU. The NA server wasn't bringing up the announcements. Switching between the servers cleared it up, but you may have to go back and forth multiple times.

On November 6th there were some server issues leading to login issues for some players. This issue has since been resolved, so we will now be closing this thread from further commentary.
