There is no "hybridization" incoming. What is incoming is that many SETS are being given the NMA treatment so that they might be USED, increasing CHOICE. Anyone who didn't see this coming in light of the changes to sets such as Stygian, etc. and the release of many new sets with dual dmg/pen/crit, and especially with the massive CP system nerf that ended the difference between physical and magic dmg for the most part... erm.

Naysayers on this are hyperbolically claiming the equivalent that "OMG the neighbor is burning leaves in the backyard, surely he is going to burn my house next!" Premature. IFF they remove stam and magicka for some kind of "unistat" or the like, you -may- then have an actual argument, not until though. Complaining about bringing many unused sets up to par with sets that have had that treatment for YEARS now is silly, and equally silly to claim that it amounts to some kind of homogenizing.

IMO, they should simply make all the lines "damage," "penetration" or "crit chance, " even reduce the resource lines some and simply be "resources." THEN STOP and leave the way stam and magicka affect damage. Choices for all, and sweaty players will still be sole resource for that SIGNIFICANT bit of extra dmg. Will they do that? I have no idea, but no one in all these hybrid threads does either, especially to complain into a crystal ball.
