Hi everyone, hope you're all doing great!
With the Deadlands DLC up on the PTS, here are some Housing news from the upcoming update!
2 new Houses:
Ossa Accentium: Once the home of an eccentric merchant-collector, this sumptuous manor possesses a view framed by one of Fargrave's otherworldly skeletons plus offers easy access to all the amenities and exotic goods this city provides.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L939GpD1APk

Agony's Ascent: Cautioning whispers about these dominating spires convince the wary to avoid the place for fear of torture … or worse. Those with courage, though, might find the stalwart tower and commanding views make for an imposing Oblivion fastness.

New Furniture:

So, what are you most hyped for? What are your thoughts about the new houses and furniture?
Personally I'm disappointed that we finally get awesome planters, but they don't have plant-less versions... maybe in a future update!

Another fantastic Preview bluebird! An extremely interesting batch of new things this PTS, lots of very cool new additions.

Not too wild about either of the new homes, but I really love the vibes & bits of lore behind Fargrave we have gotten. Can't wait to explore there and learn more! The Furnishings & Celestial Crown Crate items however REALLY look great.

Loving the arcane/cosmic vibes of many of them, that celestial Vortex is gorgeous. I absolutely love the new Terrarium items they added as well. Lots of great new stuff.

Very nice job again also displaying the scale of the Structure Pieces, really helps get a better feel for what we're working with.

Excellent work on this as always blue! Thanks for making this for us!

Here's a more detailed post with images of the Furniture!

    0c9hw4yk5bbg.png
    4amx1z5s6ypa.png
Those planters are really nice!!! I just wish they had empty, only soil versions, so we could plant our own plants in them! But they look great, and the weird new plants will be good for magical landscaping!

    hkm0ilnqmbe3.png
Some funky-coloured food items, all we're missing is green eggs lol! They look really unique, especially the speckled celestial looking meat! I'm just a bit confused as to why we got so many crazy colour versions of regular items that would be nice for other houses too - I'd love to place those tomatoes and corn and sausage pile in many houses, but it looks spoiled/unappetizing.

    c9vbk9tgyqqz.png
Library Shelves and some floating books / crystals / blob things! These look super magical, Fargrave is an awesome enchanting realm!

    4lgcfsgi5a6p.png
Lights, including a very nice stained glass window (that has a blue version at the Achievement Vendor). The two spike-looking things in the middle are Lighning Rods, you can see them in the videos, getting struck by lightning over and over. Very cool effect!

    71gt532l61oy.png
These Daedric Tapestries and Curtains will be a good match for Vampire-themed homes too, I think!

    1fsb23pong51.png
Some torture tools, and amazing terrariums (terraria?)!!!

    43s9ilwz3qj8.png
Okay, here's the start of a whole load of GIANT structural furniture... Companions for scale...

    kld2l5paryig.png
... giant stairs (the inner and outer corner sections were a good idea I think!)...

    qvscd1e1d5s1.png
...giant wall sections and a pillar...

    nq7rch134ut2.png
... giant gates (the door is broken at the moment, but I suspect it will fit the smaller arch and be interactable while the larger gateway will fit the portcullis)...

    lmhdl9g45buz.png
... aaand a whole giant tower. I wasn't kidding when I said the new Structures are humongous, lol.

There are even more Furniture, but I'm getting 'This furnishing failed to be placed' errors when I try to place them in a house. They were mostly the Home Goods Furniture so you can see those in the video in my original post, starting at 0:03.

Edit: The rest of the furniture worked today, so here are the ones that were bugged yesterday:

Some of that food looks great, and the rest just looks a little weird and not very appetising. The metal floor grates and the portcullis should be good, now there is a good replacement for the clockwork city grates which aren't flat.

I think the designers deserve double the pay honestly - just give them a bonus right now. The houses and furniture are NEXT LEVEL superb and I can't even put into words how excellent I feel it all is. I really hope I'll be able to get some or all of it.

    (50/50 good and bad opinions)

Overall I'm not a fan of the dremora/deadlands/whatever sort of decor and look, not really interested in the new homes or zone if I'm being honest, but to each their own and that isn't to say it isn't very interesting.

Love the armory station, hopefully attainable in game (not crown only), like the ideas of new companions and merchants and such but with the limit on housing/house-guests/companions, no real interest myself.

My big takeaway from the few minutes i spent there (to avoid spoiling too much for me) was the Store looked like stores, they were packed with filled shelves and all sorts of things stacked and packed in all the corners. I really hope some of those things start entering the furniture arena, various shelves, tables and booths filled with stuff to make houses really feel full, especially for merchant builds, alchemy rooms, workshops, etc.

I love the planters though id prefer empty planters we can stick whatever plants we want in, not pre-planted, but its a start.

    Terrariums look cool.

Are the huge deadlands themed structural pieces craftable as well? I love structural items.

It is. The armory station will be a free item. All you have to do is go in the crown store and "buy" it for ZERO crowns - like the statuettes we get from Plus.

Thank you! On console so no way to access PTS.

Can anyone playing around with Agony’s Ascent tell me if the daedric torture stuff (like the big wheel chandelier with various skeletons etc) can be removed or is it integral to the building? Ta.

The new houses are interesting, the Daedric Tower sort of fills the wizard’s tower request that has been asked for here.

The Redguard style house interests me, but the fact that it is in the Deadlands and the atmosphere there has that funky color to it (even inside the house) is a real detriment. Maybe you get used to it after a while.

I really like the Antiquity Enchanting Table. Thanks for including an image of that. I’m looking forward to getting a closer look at the crystals in game.

Man the Deadland's structural stuff looks awesome.

...Assuming you have hundreds/thousands of Daedra Hearts to craft with...

12-16 Hearts per piece is so steep, especially considering that you can't just buy it from merchants like with Corundum or Obsidian for Solitude or Vvardenfell Furnishings, respectively

We were able to check out the free house on the last PTS cycle. It's an empty* plot of land in the deadlands. And island surrounded by lava and you can see a few structures and some "neighbors" ** in the background.

    * empty as in there is no house. It's similar to Coldharbour Surreal Estate.
    * * your "neighbors" are the giant monsters we see when we enter an Oblivion portal

I’m loving the azure/black/blue theme to the Agony’s Ascent themed Daedric furnishings! I can finally (along with already available furnishings) made a Dark Souls themed house/dungeon!

We finally got scattered papers, planters with dirt (sorta, but I’ll take it), terrariums/crystals, floating lights/books, and over all, I think what Greymoor should’ve done for the vampires. The structural pieces are MASSIVE, and I honestly don’t know if I’ll personally use them, but am very glad for the people what would!

Wouldn’t mind ZOS using a two cell system for their houses with exterior courtyards, but that’s for another day I guess. Also ditto on the lighting/weather control.

    10/10, more of this please.

Lol, I actually do have hundreds of Daedra hearts!

Any time you kill humanoid Daedra they have a chance to drop that style mat, and I guess I have fought a lot of them.

Also, the medium armor set in Blackwood (Deadlands Assassin) is Deadric style so deconning all that gear gives the style mat too.

It’s a whole lot easier to get than Ivory Brigade Clasps.

Thanks for the awesome previews. The housing team really did a great job here.

Just please allow console players to have more than one home that can be visited without others being in a group with us. We would love to be able to show ours homes and see others even when we are not around for a personal tour.

Stay safe everyone and ZOS please fix the green tree micromanaging :)

Edit: Also, please allow us to preview something in our homes before we commit to buy or make it. Hard to judge in the preview window since we have nothing to accurately scale anything by. At least you could add the preview floor used in the preview window to something we could place a sample in our homes to help with the scale of items. As it stands it just a guess on our part since we have no access to PTS to preview items in the wild outside of the preview window.
