Anyone else having problem with companion disappearing during questing? happening often. have to go to menu to retrieve him. Friend started having same problem today.

✭✭✭✭✭Same here, put them on the quick wheel for faster access. but yes, they do seem to despawn quite a lot while i'm just running around Tamriel (Not talking about the swimming despawn btw)

Exquisition✭✭✭It happens to me only when I summon my merchant or banker. When I summon those, the companion doesn't automatically re-appear like the non combat pet. I have to re-summon my companion manually.- - GM of Guiild For The Soloiist - -0 -

Not delves, not dungeons, damn world bosses when I need Mirri most!
Might have to do with world bosses on islands surrounded by water.0 -

DP99✭✭✭✭✭They don’t swim with you, and will go around water to catch up with you on the other side.
Other than that, I’ve only had them disappear when riding at top speed. It’s as if they can’t keep up.1 -

✭Yep. Noticed it just when I got Mirris first personal quest. She just vanished mid sentence. The conversation did not, however, so I ended up having a deep talk with a puff or air. :-P0 -

✭Have had this happen as well. It seems to be primarily due to some sort of pathing bug introduced in last update.
Last week I was doing a main story quest with Bastian on an alt; we were indoors and he just suddenly stopped following me upstairs. I re-summoned him and repeated the path about 5 times just to see where the de-sync was exactly. The second we neared the midway landing point on the stairs he would consistently vanish.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭My game consistently has a companion disappearing act that affects either of my companions as well as whatever companion my duo mate has out. It occurs in normal Wayrest Sewars I group dungeon in the area where the second main boss spawns (before he jumps down into the water to fight you. Just in that one ramp area overlooking the water that impacts a couple small trash fights. Once past that area, the companions automatically respawn.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo1 -
tohopka_eso✭✭✭✭This happens to me all the time with my Bear and now Companion. I can be moving across the zone and hit a glitchy area and they just unsummon. I got use to it with the Bear but now Companion also.
Most of the time I'm not fighting, only rarely if I'm questing or fighting they both just unsummon.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭It happens in Wayrest Sewers when you go up the ramp or stairs and then through a curvy corridor where there's a wooden platform at the end (against the wall of the next room), and you have to fight your way across the platform and enter another curvy corridor to reach the next area of the dungeon. Bastian disappears while you're on the platform, as though the game realizes that you aren't on the "ground" but are "elevated," and doesn't reappear until you enter either of the stone corridors.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!0 -

✭✭There is a very consistent spot I can replicate every time in Craglorn near the Bangkorai gate. As soon as you cross a certain spot on the road Mirri disappears and you have to call her back

✭✭✭✭✭I've only had this happen a couple of times... but almost always when traveling at high speeds... I arrive at the destination but they do not.
Also interesting how they ONLY will mount when you do... so if we're attacked by an enemy we're passing and Mirri stops to fight and I keep going... the next thing I know, there she is ON FOOT running to catch me.CP: 2078 ** ESO+ 2025 Content Pass ** ~~ ***** Strictly a solo PvE quester *****
