Why are there so many WEAK MALE characters in Blackwood?

Seriously. The main plot template is like: strong female character needs a support to save her weak brother/son/husband/friend. And not only that, almost all male characters look or weak, or as pretty boys!
Here some examples:
— Captain Rian Liore – just a captain cutie.
— Revus Demnevanni – useless and unconfident.
— Liam Elendis – little brother needs help from his big sis.
— Mathen Galenus – cutie but also foolish and spineless even in the afterlife.
— Bastian Hallix – despite the courageous face, he acts like a rag, also we met him defeated by woman.
— Sombren – a.k.a Jared Leto, looks like a mighty young warrior but has a very softy personality.
— Deet-loh — another little brother needs help.
— Sevilo Andus – was saved by his future wife while he has crying and screaming.
— Stibbons – an old comic character, looked good in the vanilla's darker atmosphere.
And there are more, wich I can't remeber right now.

Yeah, I know what ZOS (and every media) is trying to say: "There are strong women even in the cruel fantasy world!" I got it, alright? No problem with it. But what if I'll tell you, that you may create a strong female character without a humiliation of males? How do you like that?

[snip] let me continue my reasoning: life in tes universe is extremely dangerous, it is not an easy task for young woman to survive alone without being robbed, killed or enslaved by bandits [snip]; and it is also hard for man to not be strong and able to protect his family and home. While you may be sacrificed by mad cultists at any moment, you should be extremely careful and often unfriendly with the strangers especially with other men.

I have finished the chapter already and I liked it. Without exaggeration it is my second favorite location now (on a par with the Summerset), architecture and landscape are beyond praise! But characters and their stories... Well, I don't believe them. I'm asking you to not consider us children, we're not.

Because female protagonists are the bestest evaaaarrr. Slaaaaaaaay. I do think the comic relief stibbons trope is way past its expiration date. He was kind of has a few badass moments in one of coldharbour quests he shows up in but since then he comes across as your typical comic relief bumbling buffoon. Feels very cheap now.

    Spoiler for Blackwood
I have not finished the main story yet but I am close.

Two of the three “Ambitions” are male.
Main villain (the traitorous priestess) is male.
Two of the three “winds” are male.
    Both garrison leaders are male.
    Brotherhood contact is male.

Yeah, there are a lot of female characters, but I do not see it as unbalanced. TBH it seems fairly well balanced to me.

I haven't finished the main questline yet but I never expected Eveli Sharp-Arrow to end up being the most kick arse character.

This seems to really bother you, why is that? Aside from what you wrote, i mean, at the core of it all.

The thought that a fictional story with fictional characters can illicit such a strong response from a person...
Well let's just say i can't really relate, so i am trying to understand you.

I did have a gutwrenching feeling after watching 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas', which is a fictional movie. But i feel that my response to that had more to do with the not so fictional horrors of the second world war, as opposed to the supposed place of the male in a fictional fantasy society.

Thank you for taking the time to respond in advance, and if you do not feel like responding i hope you have a nice day!

Not soy. I blame it on too much kale in the diet.

It is only fitting that a balanced society would have males saving helpless females and females saving helpless males. It should also have strong males and females working together and weak males and females that need help. I don't really know if the balance has tipped in favor of strong females, weak males, or whether this is just more noticeable, from a certain perspective.

I tend to ignore such things, but now you are going to have me watching.

Even as a Strong Woman irl i myself have found that there are so many woman characters in Eso newer content and not enough men. I like to look at and talk to men, give 'em to meeeee.

Not objectifying (sp) men in any way.
