Siegemaster's Coffers not working?

Before the last update, siegemaster's coffers would always give a siege of cyrodiil merit every 20 hours, so just like with rewards of the worthy, you could do all 6 sewer dailies each day until you had 50 for the costume, and wait a day in-between opening each for the merit. But while I still get the uncracked transmutation geode from rewards of the worthy that I have stored in my mail, i'm not getting any more merits from the siegemaster's coffers, only the tel var. Is this some kind of bug?

I think it's only 1 merit per account each day regardless of how many coffers

nm misread your post...perhaps they changed it so you can't just stack coffers and open 1 each day

I opened one this morning and got my siege of cyrodiil merit.
My guess is that you was below 20 hours or had opened one before doing the routine.

I waited 2 or 3 days to test it when I noticed it wasn't working ,then I did another daily, turned it in, and only that particular coffer that I had just acquired had a merit in it while the others still only had the tel var.

Had you opened them previously, even just to look? That locks their contents.

I did after the first time it started acting weird. I had to look through a few of them a week or so before the big update and a random one would have a merit instead of whichever one I clicked first. It went on like this for a few days until the update and then no merits showed up. But the first time I grinded 50 of them out, I looked through them and it didn't cause any problems at all then.

Even if they were to change that, you can still just 'bank' quests instead of the boxes. Then just go IC and 'complete' a quest daily.

I've always banked my quests rather than boxes so I can't confirm it either way.

I have 10-20 in my inventory. I open one a day and I've been the Merits like normal so nothing's changed.

Even if they were to change that, you can still just 'bank' quests instead of the boxes. Then just go IC and 'complete' a quest daily.

I've always banked my quests rather than boxes so I can't confirm it either way.

If look into one, loot it. It won't contain a merit after you looked at its contents since they are locked, was like this before as well. Sounds like you have opened all your boxes within the 20hr window, thus none of them will contain the merit and only new o es you obtain will.

I guess I must've gotten lucky when I looked through some in the first batch of 50 since it didn't happen then, but this game is inconsistent at times.

There was a short point in time where every coffer gave a merit, your earlier experience may have been when that bug was active.
