if they have lowered the cp2.0 cost by 50% they woudnt have needded to change the curved at all and i think most of us would have been happier...right now what is buggling me... to do a single role... effectively u need 1200cp, that is 400 more, 33% cost reduction on the new cp will have put almost everyone were they need to be at day 1 to do vet trials... and still need to grind a few thousands...
we paid 4x cost for each cp above 810, but we need 1200 to be at a decent spot... yes devs claims they could do all vets without any cp... i want to see video where they get the speed run aslo, and they are experts, know exactly the mechanics, most of us a casual players...
sure changing the curved, raising the cap so high, and removing all our perks, cutting down our dps, sure thats a way to go to makes everyone happy in a community...
You say you needed 394,848,292 XP to get to 1069CP? If you had earned your 1069CP back in 2015, it would have required over 700 million XP, not a measly 394 million. Lucky you! (In 2015, your 394 million XP only gets you a little more than 800 CP)
This is a fresh perspective about a topic that totally hasn't been beaten to death a dozen times over, and certainly has time to change at this point in the development cycle.
I hope it sparks even more discussion, as this is a very overlooked aspect of CP 2.0.
the exp needed is halved. but since the new total level is much higher. you still need much more collective exp to max out. as for pvpers, you will need to actually hit a much higher champ level than pve players do to achieve all those extra bonus perks.
This means a Pvers only need 1,600 champ level to max out pve potential at most 1800. where as a PvPer, to get all those bonus passive that are non slottables and are auto applied upon unlocking. they will need 2,300-2400 champ level.
and yes alot of these are tiny bonuses "60 wd" "800 critical resistance" "1,200 armro penetration" " -x% damage" etc. but they are an advantage none the less. and you will need to hit 2,300-2,400 to unlock all those tiny passive + your slottables. for pvp
I don’t understand why people are so upset about this CP exp change. In other MMOs you chase endless gear progression. You spend hours and hours per expansion getting gear, only to have it be cosmetic when the next expansion comes out. This doesn’t mean you wasted your time. It means you got to enjoy and eventually farm that top content. Gear in this game is pretty obtainable and some really good sets are sold by players to others who never have to chase gear progression. CP seems like it was a replacement for endless gear progression.
As someone who has only been playing a little while and just got to level 50 and 18 CP I see CP as this games version of player power as gear is to other MMOs. It’s not like you didn’t enjoy god like status for years. That isn’t wasted time.
