✭✭This is clearly a bait thread but you'll find that people actually do make plenty of historical comparisons when they discuss ESO lore. Try the /r/teslore subreddit. But you might have to be more interested and earnest than calling a race "uglies".
Edit: It's not feasible or easy to moderate potentially political conversations when people act in bad faith by derailing or trolling—which people would definitely do on the forums if not kept in check.
