Suppression Field & Blood Magic

OrdinatorInMourning
Hello everyone!

I want to draw your attention to the fact that Suppression Field is... bugged?
Since I'm tanking on my sorc I have noticed that I didn't receive any heal from Suppression Field (a morph of Negate, which deals damage and should proc Blood Magic passive according to its description (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Blood_Magic). So, I did a quick test with my friend and results were... interesting.

1. Suppression Field doesn't proc Blood Magic if you use ultimate on mobs (both overland and dungeons).
2. Restraining Prison procs Blood Magic as intended, but your target haven't to be rooted (if no, it doesn't proc).
3. Daedric Mines proc Blood Magic as intended.
4. Rune Prison procs Blood Magic twice (per cast and per stun).
5. Suppression Field procs Blood Magic by hitting players, but they need to get silence (passive procs every time the silence is applied). Blood Magic doesn't proc from dealing damage to players and the initial hit doesn't proc it too.

To sum up, every skill, except Suppression Field, procs Blood Magic and it doesn't matter if your target is a player or a mob. Suppression Field procs Blood Magic according to the scenario described above.

The description of Blood Magic and Suppression Field is incorrect, so it should be clarified. Or it's just a bug and it should be fixed.

Can confirm Blood Magic passive works really strange.

I can understand why it is triggered by Encase and Rune Prison (let's say, hit means affect). But the interaction of Blood Magic with Negate Magic is just a nonsense.

It would be good to make the passive work consistently.

I find it very weird to have a passive that only works with 2 of the 5 skills in the line.
Would have been okay if it where only 4, but half of that is not good... especially since those 2 skills/spells are very useless.

You better test this yourself. This thread is from march 2019.

For pvp purposes, blood magic is also very weak as it is.
It would be welcome to see it increased by a few % or turn it into a short heal over time. I like the idea and mechanic, though it is a bit too weak after battle spirit, even with very high health.

Actually for specifically PvP you heal for 80% of your max health over 10 seconds as long as enemies are inside, it is not that weak. (4% every half second).

I can't comment on the current situation, but about 3-4 years ago, when I used Suppression Field, only the initial hit would trigger the Blood Magic passive. Back then I was told that this is the intended behavior.

That would be great, but it didn't work like this back a few years ago. Did you test it? I doubt it changed.

Blood maguc only works only directly applied dark magic skills. First hit of negate should proc blood magic, but any consicutive hits should not proc it. Blood magic was rewored to explain to people that it should not proc negate everytime it hits few patches ago. As I remember correctly it did not hqve a cooldown to it and it would proc when you hit anything with dark magic abilitys. People got confused as to why it did not proc negate multiple times, hence why they reworded it.
