I think you'd have better luck polling us on how long this thread lasts before it gets removed for breaking the forum rules about discussing moderation.

It's not discussing any particular case simply if people agree with how they handle things in general if they lock this thread it'd be kind of stretching the rules to find an excuse to lock threads discussing if people agree with how they handle things.

Doesn't matter any particular case, we are not allowed to discuss any moderation at all. A few of these threads pop up now and then and always get locked.

That kind of puts the system in question doesn't it? "Don't speak out against us don't question us just obey" I mean....it seems a very poor way to manage anything.

They own the forum, we get to use it by their permission. If you come into my house and say things I don't like, then I get to make you leave. No different here.

These forums are not a product we are paying for, or a service we are entitled to by law, so we have no rights here.

Umm we pay for the game that gives them jobs and some of us put money into this game more often that just buying it. That's like saying 'you come here give me loads of money but you can't speak just shut up and do as I tell you'.

That's how they handle things. I got a warning recently for my tongue in cheek commentary that was viewed as CoC violation. I don't like it but I can't change it. As an act of protest I will never resume my subscription.

No different than any other official/company forum I've ever been on. /shrug

Honestly, the people who usually complain about their posts going poof, or repeated bans "for no reason", or evil moderators.... generally deserve it. No matter how much they say "I've no idea why I keep getting modded!"
    In my experience, at least.

Pretty much this. This is a private forum owned by Zos. As such, they set the rules and that is the end of that story.

Constructive feedback has always been welcome.

How is it not constructive to get peoples opinions on whether they need to change how their forums are managed? If they can't handle people questioning this then it sounds like forum moderators are put above game developers as they seem fine with letting people saying negative things about the company and developers.

If you can't question it then it is really not a fair system no matter how you put it. Saying 'All the people who they did it to deserved but oh no you can't question them it's totally fair of a forum manage to not let you question how they do it'...yeah that's basically saying they have every right to do it cause this and this do it too. And given you're allowed to say negative context about the company and game developers who actually have more part in the game yet not the forum managers says that they're putting the forum managers above anyone else including those working on the actual game that gives them jobs.

Yeah, and that's an issue honestly. If the forum managers can turn people away from the game by their behavior I mean they're not even involved in the making of the game. Can say whatever you want about developers and company but can't question the forum managers? How does that make sense?

I was merely noting that constructive feedback is welcome to basically indicate that the posts that get removed tend to fall short of that mark.

And yet we're allowed to question anything else in the game I've seen posts that were quite negative to the game, the developers, the company and yet never removed. Yet people in this very thread are suggesting that it can be removed for questioning forum managers. Are the forum managers more important and higher up the scale than the company or developers of the game? It seems odd that it's fine to criticise anything else but them and more so that people have been kicked or had post removed or given warnings for less than that suggest that it isn't a fair system. If forum managers are above anyone else in the company then that seems kind of off since literally their only job is managing a forum whereas people who develop the game actually have to work on making it and without that they wouldn't have a forum to manage.

Yes, we all bought the game and many of us suscribe and/or make other gsme related purchses. And none of us, not one, paid a specific price to access this forum. You are not being made to "shut up", they just decide, sometimes, not to let you use their resources (which you have access.to only at their sufferance) to say it.
