I finally met “that guy” in dungeon

Fungal Grotto Dungeon starts and two of us announce we are doing quest for first time. Other guy says ok and our tank stays quiet. We begin and the tank rushes ahead to first boss. We follow kill boss and then he disappears. Turns out he was dps fake tanking (shocker 
) and he ran for the final boss, soloed it, and leaves dungeon.
While the dungeon is easy it was a tad annoying to be short a person and was more than a tad annoying to get to the end and not be able to get undaunted event item or any loot because he decided he’s experience was more important than the 3 others. But, anyway we all had a good laugh about it and went our ways but just was interesting to witness this for the first time.

✭Well that sadly happens. You don't need the bosses on the way tho. If you would have just followed them you would have gotten the quest + tickets.
That being said, you have specified that you want to do the quest so he should have asked you if its okay for you to skip.
From his/my perspective: i have done fungal 1 literally 300 times (viper farm) I don't want to spend any more time in it. So I do run it as fast as possible. But I always ask if it's okay to skip.
If you want to do a story mode you need to premade 4 man. No one will ever wait for you to finish reading dialogueclass representative for the working class, non-cp, bwb and Trolling5 -

This, if I see a player running far ahead, or jump the waterfall while it is obvious there are new people, then I initiate a kick, that's why the feature exists. If you want to skip through, then solo it, it's easy enough to do, there's no reason to be that guy other than to be a di**.13 -

✭✭Had the same experience. People like this are trash. If they just wanna run a quick dungeon, do it with your friends. And don’t fake tank because you want a quick run. Just solo it alone without joining a group.3 -
ganzaeso✭✭✭✭Yeah, that is completely inappropriate for fungal grotto 1. It is only 2 - 3 extra minutes to finish those extra pulls between boss 2 and the final boss anyways. A vote kick was probably due for this situation.(Math before coffee, except after 3, is not for me)3 -

Except to get the 10 transmute stones which is mostly why experienced players queue for random normals these days. That said, if you queue you should agree on how you want to run the dungeon with the others and not be a *** about it.
The opposite occurred in one of my groups yesterday when 3/4 group members wanted a skip run but a lowbie insisted on doing the quest and wanted everyone to wait on him. When the group rushed ahead to the next set of trash mobs (not skipping any bosses), he got belligerent with the group. The group ended up kicking him.
I heal mostly when doing randoms and what frustrates me is the amount of fake dps/tanks or toons that are so ill prepared for dungeons that it feels like I am soloing sometimes. I did spindlecluth I yesterday as a healer and ended up doing 80% of the dps by just spamming unstable wall of elements.
Bottom line, people just need to be respectful when doing random dungeons. There are people of different skills levels and needs doing them. If the majority want to do a dungeon one way vs. another and your'e the odd person out, then just suck it up.2 -

You forget that some players didn't pass their elementary school grades.
They just spam buttons and burp while scratching their bellies.
Probably don't even know he can go to dungeons, he didn't probably read through the event notes.0 -

✭One thing that is odd about your story, even if the tank would have rushed to kill the last boss, you would have gotten the tickets and Items since you are grouped with him. Everything he does counts for you as well you just need to loot it.PC|EU3 -

✭Unfortunately, that is the nature of this Undaunted Event, when you get FG1 with random. You have to to expect a bum-rush pass through everything just to the last boss. Ha ha. Been this way since the first event.1 -
