As title says, 6h for the first research growing up to 12h, 24h, 48h, 96h, 192h, 384h, 768h!? For the last freaking research you have to wait a month! What the f!!!

This a spit in the face after you kicked us when we are down on the ground.

even with perks its ridiculous, same as gold costs for everything good, ie repairs, respec, horse etc.

Either they expect people to play for a very long time and get little back, or just plainly want to put people off playing. I dont really know which.

I personally dont think I will last a month, its good but after quests I think I will be bored.

A month? Hmmm, that's like one month of subscription. I can wait. My NB bow master only has two traits left to research then done with the bow line, so not a big deal to me. Besides, good things come to those who wait, or something like that.

If you want to master a crafting skill line, you must have patience grasshopper.

Well, that's about the only 'gatekeeper' they have to the highest level craftable sets. I mean, personally, I'm at quicksilver level. By the end of the week, I fully see myself at voidstone level.

That means there's really nothing keeping me from crafting V10 gear for someone and upgrading it to full gold. I can mix Vampire's Kiss and Song of Lamae.

The only limit? I can't get them the top sets. No mixing Shalidor's Curse and Kagrenac's Hope with infused traits, boosting whatever stats you want.

At perk lvl 3 you can research 3 traits at a time (this is per profession). So after 2 months you can easily enjoy your first 8 trait set bonis. I dont understand why people always want to have everything instantly they see it. MMOs are supposed to last for years and not for 2 weeks.

the dropped sets outclass the crafted ones in any case, so it isn't even usefull, except that you get the style you want.

    And whatever trait you want.

All Ice Furnace armors come with well-fitted. Storm Knight? Sturdy.

Want a full gold armor set with infused in the Barbarian style? Divines? Impenetrable? Mix? Go right ahead. There's the cake. The set bonuses are the frosting.

Ever do the magic research in Asheron's Call? Course, once you got the item rotation down...

It's psychological (i.e. perception) in a sense, I mean I agree with others that in other games it can take you many months or more to master a craft.

No, they are perfectly reasonable. Just research the traits you like better first.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Um, no, the research times are fine. When someone CAN do all....their masters at it. It's not something you do on every alt just to have it done.

You choose what you want to research. Don't blame the game if you didn't care about your choices.

Good thing this game has lots and lots of quests for you to do. 3 Alliances worth.

Research times are what make crafters valuable. I like them and want them to stay. They also force you to specialize which is a good thing.

Exactly. Zenimax even stated in a video that just because your're a V10, a player searching for a crafted fire destro staff may have better luck going to a level 30 player depending on what each person has specialized in.

The research times are long so higher levels don't dominate everything, rendering lower levels useless for crafting items. I think it's quite smart the way they did it.

I specialize in Medium armor and daggers/1H swords on my main while my alt will specialize in destro staves and light armor.
