Since the patch my mount is so slow compared to normal. Noticed in cyrodiil. Somethings changed. Please fix?

Agree. Rapids does increase speed, but not as much as before patch. Didn't see anything in patch notes that would indicate this is intended.

I agree. Is there another way to increase mount speed? I'm maxed on mount speed and even with rapid maneuver it seems ''slow''. Sometimes other players just fly by me...

I don't have measurements from before the patch, so I can't be precise as to how things changed. But I timed runs along a road from near Gil-Var-Delle wayshrine to near Elden Root Temple, all on a 60 mount speed character. I did each of these twice but there was not more than 1-2s variation between runs at the same condition.

Time sprinting (shift key held): 65s
Time sprinting with rapids activated (sprint briefly released twice to refresh rapids): 56 s.
    Time not sprinting: 77s
Time not sprinting, rapids activated: 66s.
In both cases, it's about a 15-17% increase in actual speed, which is a lot less than I would have expected from Major Gallop's "30%" increase.

    wait, i can't do math after 10pm.
so you are saying, that the rapids are no longer as fast now, as when you timed them in the past?

On my farming character (ring of wild hunt, jailbreaker, coward) I could hit 13 m/s (on racing panel addon) when turning in my writs, after the patch it tops out at 10.6 m/s.

Great, on the last update, they somehow mistakenly make the mount stamina base on your toon's stamina. And now, we have mount speed base on..... I'm not even sure what they manage to mess up this time.

Like so many other things with this game mounts are extremely unstable.

Sometimes it drains stamina fast sometimes slow
Sometimes the horse goes fast, sometimes slow
sometimes Rapid makes the horse very fast.. sometimes not so much.

This games needs looked at from the ground up before they release more content.

That's funny because Jailbreaker supposedly got a 5% speed increase this patch.

    SMH.....

Yes, it's definitely broken in both Cyrodiil and PvE zones, obviously due to Cyrodiil's size it feels even worse there, hopefully this is fixed today.

True but rapids is slower all the time now. They changed something in the patch.

THANK YOU I thought I was going crazy last night going from Harrowstorm to harrowstorm. I kept slamming down on Shift t get that little speed boost and really felt like they had nerfed mount speed!

    Guess it’s not just me

ZOS is tired of everyone complaining about the change to the Rapids skill unlock. So they changed Rapids to make it less desirable.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
