Installing PTS from steam

I bought the game from steam and have the original game installed on my SSD. I want to install the PTS on another drive because I don't have enough room. The launcher does not give me the option to change location. I tried copying the file and running it from the other hard-drive but it needs steam to launch it. Any way around this? I want the original game to stay were its at and the PTS on another drive.
