I cannot scry in Hews Bane is it me or a bug?

I have a scry in progress with an eye that says the dig site is outside of the blue region and I cannot find any dig site in the blue region. As there is no way to cancel the hunt for the dig my scry is stopping me from any other scrys.
Has anyone else had the eye point to the wrong place?
Has anyone found a dig site that the eye did not point to?
Would be nice if we could quit a scry.

    In game helper said to abandon the scry on the page that shows in progress and that worked
