Not sure what the Trial Dummy has by default, but it's probably the base tooltip of 3010.

The video is great, but the calculations in the table seem a little off with the total before Alkosh, they also forgot about Stam Sorc's 1k armor shred.

Total pen needed = 18200

Major Fracture = 5280
Minor Fracture = 1320
Infused Crusher Enchant = 2108
Torugs (45%, not 90%) = 948
Tremorscale = 2395
Stam Sorc = 1000
Total = 13051

Leaving only 5149 penetration needed from Alkosh and/or Invested pen from players.

5149/3010 = 1.71

So the tank needs to increase their Alkosh proc by about 70%, assuming this is the 2nd hit of the proc because it would be a little redundant to account for the -10% damage from 5149 resistance when it will be gone after 1-2 Alkosh procs. Maybe tanks will have a litte penetration with Piercing, since the blue tree is kinda wasted for them.

So 70% sounds difficult, but it really isn't all things considered. CP alone can account for about 25-30%, the set already includes 5% minor Slayer. Major Slayer, Minor Berserk, Minor/Major Vulnerability are going to be handed out for free from your party. Classes like Sorc/Warden get Damage Done buffs built in, even if more rare as tanks. Shock staves have +8% damage done. You get the idea.

Therefore, in an optimized Stamina trial group, you effectively need to invest almost nothing into penetration if the tank is handling their Alkosh proc.

For Magicka, Tremorscale, Stam Sorc and Torugs Crusher equals 4343, which is less penetration than the 4884 provided by light armor, meaning they don't need to invest anything at all too. The only thing that changes is how much pressure may be on the tank to get strong Alkosh Procs.

All that considered, personally, I'd still invest a reasonable CP amount into penetration due to diminishing returns on the other nodes, like 10-20 points on Stamina builds, but it's easy to say, Sharpenned and/or 61 points into Piercing will no longer be needed.

So to your question about the dummy, if it's 3010, Torugs is updated to 45% and Tremorscale is included.. Maybe youtube parsers will invest a little CP into piercing to get absolute numbers, but take them out in actual content. I mean.. I doubt the Atro includes Stam Sorc's Armor Shred, so it's a big question mark for now. The conclusion is.. at least for now, you may need nothing.
