Felonious Non-Recompense

It's officially been 12 hours now.

I honestly don't think it's unreasonable to expect some sort of Recompense for time lost. ESO is maybe one of the three MMOs out there that don't offer something as a token of good will for when server maintenance becomes an ALL-DAY experience. Even COMCAST knows this.

My internet goes out for an hour or so and I'll call em up and let them know and they will OFFER something without being asked. COMCAST. The business famous for being horrible with customer service.

    Felonious?

Please, ZOS doesn't even compensate ESO+ subscribers for much longer downtimes.

felonious. adj. referring to an act done with criminal intent. The term is used to distinguish between a wrong which was not malicious, and an intentional crime, as in "felonious assault," which is an attack meant to do real harm.

I do not think the current server issues fit into this category.

I think my definition is closer to the truth.

"relating to or involved in crime."

14.99 for 30 days. Only getting 29 days when expecting 30 days, I would say, relates to theft.

It isn't theft directly, but it relates to.

One of the current crown crates per hour the game is down would be acceptable. So that's 12 and counting.

I've been assuming this is sarcasm, but you aren't paying for 30 days of in game time. If you were, there would be a timer counting down when you were actually in game.

Instead, you are paying for a block of 30 days during which you may or may not use the ESO+ benefits. You don't get extra days because you went on vacation or couldn't play for any other reason.

If i'm paying for a block of 30 days, then that only adds to the case that I should be given an extra day because I was only allowed 29.

"couldn't play for any other reason" So if you renew your sub today, and then find out ESO is cancelled entirely tomorrow..expecting a refund for the service I paid for which can't be delivered is unreasonable? Nah

"there would be a timer counting down when you were actually in game." There is a timer that counts down that 30 day block of time. Played or not, it still counts down. Its my fault if I don't play. It's their fault if the game doesn't work.

When someone throws down a phrase like felonious non-recompense (even if it is a play on the achievement name), certain people are going to respond that way. It's guaranteed.

    Greetings all,

After removing a handful of comments due to Flaming and Baiting, we have decided it best to close this thread. Flaming and Baiting are both violations of the rules we have in place and are stated as follows:
Flaming: It’s okay to disagree and debate on the official ESO forums, but we do ask that you keep all disagreements civil, constructive, and on-topic. If a discussion gets heated and turns into a debate, remember that you should stick to debating the post and/or thread topic. It is never appropriate to resort to personal comments or jabs about those participating in the thread discussion.
Trolling or Baiting: The act of trolling is defined as something that is created for the intent to provoke conflict, shock others, or to elicit a strong negative or emotional reaction. It’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread, and find another discussion to participate in instead. It is also not constructive or helpful to publicly call out others and accuse them of trolling, or call them a troll—please refrain from doing so. If you genuinely believe someone is trolling, please report the post or thread to the ESO Team, and leave it at that.
If there may be any questions in regards to the rules, please feel free to take a few moments to review them here.

    Thank you for your understanding,
    -Greg-
