Everyone is leaving the game because of lag :-/

(I am playing ESO on PC/EU)

Okay as the topic says. Everyone is leaving the game.
I have 6 players that I normally played a hell lot with every day. I have big guilds where I have a lot of social and game time with as well. But right now it seems like everyone is leaving the game.
Lot of the guilds I am in have wayyy less play time and I know some of them have left the game as well.
The 6 players I normally play with have all left the game, and playing other games ... some of us have been coming in now and then to see how it is and then telling the others how bad it still is.

We have been waited all last DLC to see if the game was fixed at the next DLC etc. Some changes was made yes .... but now the game is even worse. If you like PvP a lot (like me) the game is seriously unplayable. Constantly skill-lags (1-3 seconds where you cannot cast the skills you want, or cannot CC break or dodge roll) that dont work at all for PvP in any game.

So it doesn't matter if you have the best game in the world if it is unplayable ... unenjoyable .. I dont understand why you keep making new DLCs and stuff in the game instead of fixing what is already there. Buy new bigger and better server and correct bad coding or something.
You are filling more items on a sinking ship instead of fixing the holes.

To day, I went in to see how the game was. Even got two if the people I normally play with to come back with me to see how it was. We made like 20 duels together and there was constant skill-lags ... I even got loading screens 2 times i duels with no one else around ...... That dont work for me ... There are more games out there that is fun. So today I have removed my ESO+ membership because I seriously dont want to pay money for something that dont work and I dont use.

Hope you will fix it before all leave the game or maybe even fix it fast so some of the people that left will come back... You need to do something!

PvP player population appears to be cratering on PC NA, too, but it may just be my own biases/people I played with or around getting tired of the game.

I was out in No CP Cyrodill last night and had limited lag/skill delay issues, but I wasn't out until a bit after prime time, so I have no idea how it was before then. And the server quickly dropped into 1 bars

I logged in 6 times last month. All of which i played maybe 45 min bc of lag. It's not that I'm not gaming, it's that im choosing not to play THIS game bc of performance. It really is a shame.

My advice to anyone who leaves ESO for any other games ... they pretty much all suck just as bad if not worse. I’m a sports gamer so ...

Madden - awful game that can be cheesed easily. Very Pay to Win since Ultimate Team is all they care about.

NBA2K20 - solid game that can be cheesed almost as easily as Madden. The single player mode isn’t even pay to win. It’s Pay to be Not Horrible.

The Show - I love this game but it’s only on PS4 so good bye to most of my friends.

WWE2K20 - complete and total hot garbage

There are thousands of other examples. Every game sucks in a way. 7 years in and GTAV still gets stuck in the clouds for 10 minutes at a time.

It may be laggy but at least ESO has other stuff to do in it when certain parts aren’t working properly.

And most are probably still in a wait mode, doing writs while remaining offline. We still hope like a fools that game would be playable again, sadly it's not happening anytime soon.

But pve groups disbanding is real this patch, never witnessed anything like that since morrowind, half the group just like by a finger snap, gl finding any decent backups. Can just imagine pvp as didn't set a foot since harrowstorm lag was introduced.

Well, oddly enough, my PVP guilds number of players logging in for Cyrodiil daily hunts has decreased dramatically, we had 2 full raid groups going a good portion of our prime time play in the near past, this week we are lucky to scrape together 6 people. That said, when entering Cyrodiil the other day, 2 alliances were marked as full, and mine had a long wait timer, so there is obviously people in there playing, even with the horrendous lag and lack of being able to fire off skills.

They just aren't the people I normally play with. It is summer though, people are working on their yards and doing other summer stuff to get out of the house they have been stuck in for the last 3 months. The game also just implemented faction change, so maybe a bunch swapped to the "winning" sides and no longer play my alliance? A bunch of them are also out scrying for mythics instead of doing the group PVP right now, due to the lag issues and wanting to try out the new gear.

But I agree, the skill lag, overall lag and constant load screens in Cyrodill Grey Host is horrible, and makes it very unenjoyable to be there.

I quit and don't plan on playing any other game. Lag and the inability to get skills to work ruined it for me.

However, I do want to Thank Zeni for curing my addiction.

And we all know what happened to those who left after Morrowind. Most of them came back again. It'll be the same this time. And as before, the population will continue to grow in the meantime.

and as far as MMORPGs go, the choice is quality or less lag. Outside of the lag issues, this is by far the best MMORPG out there. I could not stand going back to WoW or FF14 nor could I stand going for an even lesser MMORPG.
