At what point is it safe to delete a character?

Once I have had a character read mail and collect all of the items from them, and I placed them all in the bank. is it safe to delete that character? Assuming I have at least one other character on the account.

    Assuming you have another character AND you have placed everything that you want to keep from your first character into the bank. It should be safe deleting the first character without issues.

    Make sure to deposit all of the currency from the character into the bank: gold; AP; writ vouchers; and tel var before deleting.
