How Do i refund my preorder

after logging in and trying to play this game with my friend i noticed a change that i really dont feel like getting into because i'm so absolutely livid about (let's just say i can NO LONGER PLAY WITH MY FRIEND)

I refuse to play this game any longer and i will not be playing the expansion. HOW do i get refunded on my preorder? do i need to put in a ticket? FAQ doesn't help explain.

I know lots of people in my guild have requested and gotten refunds. All you need to do is put in a support ticket. They've been processing refunds immediately.

One can only hope enough do refunds so zos' actually takes notice and there are consequences for this massive failure.

I feel bad, I liked doing BG with my wife but this change was posted long before the chapter went up for sale.

Agree. Not being able to play with friends in BG's, and last patch faction lock not even being able to go to cyro together, ridiculous. At least they reverted that part thankfully, one step in the right direction. Hopefully they will let you play with friends again in BG's soon again as well.

Yeah I just told support i no longer wish to purchase the chapter because the game doesn't work.

As Technohic said, this is bad advice. Zos has shut down accounts when chargebacks occurred until it was straightened out. Ofc, it is usually concerning purchases of crowns or ESO+ but there is no reason to think it would not happen with this.

Regardless, I suspect OP is just trying to be cute and is really just complaining about the change to the BG queue.

In my country I have 14 days to regret an online purchase. I also have two years of guarantee, product needs to work as promised, this includes online games

And I am going to safely assume yes, the OP's complaint is about the BG queues as well. Where @ZOS_GinaBruno stated after the update, it is a "live" experiment to see how things work. And those who wish for a secondary queue or a return back to normal are encouraged to provide civil and constructive feed back. While pairing with the community to provide the best suggestions and solutions possible.

While yes, the OP's complaint is valid (loosely saying this) it is also a "quitting" thread as well. I've seen so many actual threads offering up some decent to pretty ingenious suggestions about how to fix the BG queues - that sadly get buried under posts like the OP's - far more entertaining to watch and be apart of the drama (ironic I know) versus trying to make things better with logic and critical thinking.

Careful don't sound too positive. That kind of thinking is not for forums lol. I'm not a fan of the change myself. I hope Zen finds a better solution.

this thread wasn't originally intended to be an "i quit" thread, it was intended to request information regarding something that was not covered in the "help" or "search" functions. it was to serve not only myself but those who i play with whom i can no longer play with.

I had far more to say in my original post but ended up cutting it off and posting only what you see because i decided there was no point in airing it out further, yet still felt the need to personally vent my frustration since i now no longer have the option to play with my GF, or my daughter. or my friend. or anyone i enjoy playing this game with. we dont HAVE that option anymore. its GONE.

the worst part came while realizing this WHILE trying to figure out whether or not if it was bugged and complete disbelief thinking to myself and literally telling my daughter "theres no way they would do that, that is idiotic". Totally blind sided by this, me and my friends in discord were in disarray trying to figure out what to even DO now. Cyrodiil is unplayable due to latency and is fundamentally different than BGs. and so is IC.

so yeah, forgive me for venting a little bit upon my discovery while trying to enjoy the aspect i play in the game that i would no longer be able to play it with friends anymore. my question has been answered anyway.

It's a fair enough point I think.

At this stage I WOULD buy the chapter if it included a seperate group battlegrounds queue, private battlegrounds and a league / leaderboard

@ZOS_GinaBruno this would literally be money for old rope. Turning it back on, allowing private matches and a leaderboard appear pretty simple in game things already. Take my money!

The "playing with friends" argument is well and good, but when those friends are on voice chat and have a balanced party, they will dominate every group of PUGs. And when just two friends are queuing together, being grouped with Leeroy Jenkins and his per healer while trying to do objectives is no fun either.

The solution is simple, make a group and a solo queue.

Except with faction lock you still could coordinate to go in together. In BGS you can't go in together period. Big difference.

Every single one of those people in the purple team should have earned a month-long forced break from the game, especially if they did it repeatedly. No sane person would think a full raid in the same BG team is intended and not exploitative. As long as those actions have no consequences, people will find and use any exploit possible. And no, the fact that you CAN exploit (namely due to a possible exploit being in the code) doesn't mean you should, or that there should be no consequences. Software will have bugs, some bugs will be exploitable. As with any social activity, you are expected to adhere to basic rules of decency and honesty.
