In my opinion, if you hit someone with rune cage (they get stunned), you should deal the damage with it, not just if they don't break the stun free.

For now this skill is not really worth using over streak.

    Streak is nice but i found rune cage is better

    Sure - no damage, high cost for only stun and its easily dodged because you can see it on you before it stuns

    But it is good to get rid of enemy stamina - some stams use roll 4 or 5 times before they get i can spam it.

    I would be happier with a total rework of the skill, keep the damage the same, but make it a projectile the is both blockable and dodgeable. Basically, give sorc their ranged playstyle, that they had for the entire time the game was out, back. I do not need my stun to be unblockable and undodgeable i just want it to fit in nicely with a rotation rather than the delay on rune cage now. You can even make it do damage only if it stuns the target so it cannot be used as a spammable. Just give me a reliable ranged stun again.

    Rune cage is a prime example for band aid fixes of past times that never get corrected after what made them strong has been removed.

    The damage was removed because it was undodgeable and just generally better to use.
    This is no longer the case, so they can as well restore the damage.

    So, I use runecage on a stamsorc.

    I think it's better to use that and keep Ball of Lightning over streak.

    I'm not sure the damage is necessary, I'm not for that, but not against either.

    On the other hand I still think the defensive rune shouldn't have a delay since you can't control the activation.
