[Customer Service] So this is apparently how to get a reasonable response from "Customer Service"?

It is what is, thats the nature and power of the internet. Bad PR is a nightmare. Just be happy that there is a forum like this, regularly monitored.

I work for a company in customer service, when someone has a complaint and they claim they're going to go to "social media" and "put this on facebook"... I usually just laugh. Not because I'm evil, but because they think I actually care as an employee of a huge company that probably doesn't care about me, them complaining to their Facebook friends isn't going to do anything and 95% of the time, they're just being unreasonable with me. That isn't my concern or my job.

Edit: The credit card thing wasn't unreasonable that you linked, you just don't understand how crazy some people are until you work in customer service. It's laughable.

In the years since the enormous number of issues at launch I have had no issue getting CS to handle a ticket. I have had great experiences with their handling of my tickets.

It really seems you have done some cherry picking of rare issues or issues that have a limited chance of occurring.

The first link was not even about gameplay. It was that they could not purchase something from the cash shop. If anything you have helped demonstrate Zos does not give favorably to issues concerning the cash shop where players have an issue where they cannot spend money. Here you have shown Zos does not give favoritism to handling issues that prevent sales in the cash shop so that is a big plus.

No it's not honestly. I've had numerous issues incl. store and purchases, gameplay, technical, missing items etc. over the many years I've been playing the game and honestly almost always received the most friendly support that I've ever experienced.

Quick, kind, understanding, communication are all things that I'm well used to from the support.

These incidents are quite rare, especially since they were all discussed in polite manner. The occasional support hiccup here and there definitely isn't something you'd have to go to the forums for.

So once again. No, it's not how to get reasonable service, but it may occasionally help.

The way you get a reasonable response from Customer Support is to be reasonable to begin with, yourself.

I would wager (and win) that the vast majority of people who have bad experiences with CS create those headaches themselves, via the way they choose to communicate their issues, either by being rude or having a poor grasp of expressing themselves via the written word, or (likely) a combination of both.

    Greetings,

As this thread does not seem to serve any purpose other than to Bash the support staff, we have decided to close it down. Bashing is a violation of the rules that we have in place. If there may be any questions in regards to the rules, please feel free to review them here.

    Thank you for your understanding,
