Great. When it happens, you should be happy.
ZOS is apparently trying very hard to get the servers and LFG system into a state where the event goes OK. Hopefully, they can do this, and the event works, but they are right at the deadline. They have admitted that they need players to pile into the LFG system in order to validate the fixes. The chances of another emergency maintenance before the end of the event are quite high, and that can be viewed as a good thing. It shows that ZOS is making the effort, even at the last second, to get this done. They could just as easily just toss in the towel and say "whelp, that's all we can do".
they said, they will change/fix servers, they lie for 2 years now, they said they will fix performance, again they lie, i will say again, there will be no fix, i like evry much this game, but i stop playing it, because of the lag....

(snip) What I said was that the way ZOS tries to fix the game issues has no real results and only temporarily gives the impression of the problem being fixed, like giving aspirin to a cancer patient which ofc has no results, only makes pain go away for a while. Why? Because ZOS doesnt try to fix the root of the problem, which is the game code, maybe because of financial issues and prefers to do often, cost-free maintenances. I did not compare anything with cancer. (snip).

Please one poster is comparing this to someone with cancer the other thinks he knows all and one single person is responsible for any issue in a video game. All because of maintenance.
It's pretty sad how these forums are they should switch it to sub only and 99% those who compare this stuff to cancer or how horrible the game is would be gone.
Criticism is 100% needed what is on these forums and especially this thread is just sad. No wonder gamers have a bad reputation.
Maybe us subs since launch are sick and tired of a broken game. The Group Finder hasn't work right since launch. BG finder hasn't work right since it's inception. Cyrodiil is a lag fest but the Crown Store works like a charm.
Us SUBS since LAUNCH are kinda of sick of band aid solutions that have taken 6 years to implement because the subs are starting to leave and the word is getting out by those who have left.

Seriously where are you guys playing? I've queued almost every day I've turned on eso. I queue as a DPS and it takes between 30min to an hour. I've queued 100s of times with premade groups and we get into the dungeon instantly. Where are you playing where GF for dungeons never works for you.
Have you ever played another mmorpg? Almost every mmo that tries a large scale pvp has lag and issues. There is more to it than just the crown store. Their store is minuscule compared to games like BDO or swtor so that is just a pathetic arguement only meant to gain those desperate likes.
Large scale pvp will always have issues no matter what mmorpg you log into. That isnt going to change anytime soon .

Separate issue imo, but what gets me about it is how blatant the lie is. Actually, no, that's not the thing that gets me. What gets me is that it's not even the company simply being greedy. All it is is some middle management pencil-pusher (god knows who) who just wants their resume to stay tidy so they won't lose their cushy job. It allows him or her to deliver a report that says "look at these numbers. look at how good I am for profits because I've got us right against the line where server costs are minimal but not so low that it will cost us subscriptions". The most infuriating thing is that it only really benefits one person, and that the only benefit for that one person is job security. The upper manager(s) he or she is impressing don't even profit. All THEY'RE interested in is being able to show whoever's above THEM that they made the right DECISION in continuing to employ the person showing them the report, because, once again, all THEY are really concerned with is securing THEIR job, which is based on that simple wgas decision.
tl'dr: yes, they're cheapo's with the servers and lying right through their teeth when they insist that it's "more complicated than that". It's not.

Who is having anxiety? And who is acting out? OP made a slightly snarky thread abiut the number of maintenances we've had since January 1st, that hardly qualifies as either of the things you suggest.

Yesterday, no one was able to queue in Group Finder, Tanks where seeing 30min plus wait times. The day before BG queue was broken. What game are you playing?
Hold up...
IF no one was able to queue in GF,
THEN how were tanks getting 30+min queue times?
You cant have it both ways there.
Btw there was a post yesterday where someone posted a screenshot their queue was six minutes as a healer.
I mean come on man sure the game has issues but really you need to lie and make stuff up? Come on.
gatekeeper13 wrote: »My reading comprehension is just fine your sad comparison need help. You have no idea what you are talking about. If you cant handle maintenance in a video game or queues in a group finder its probably time you find a new hobby. Every single game with a GF has queues. WOW has millions of players and cross server queues as a dps it will still take 30-45 minutes to queue.
The system doesn't have a finite amount of queues available. Now I know those like you think the game is dying but it's not the population is actually increasing and when you have an increase in population you will get an increase in the amount of people trying to queue. If the queues are full guess what you even if your a tank will have to wait for an open spot.
It has nothing to do with cancer or one lone ranger making decisions.
But hey you go get your desperately needed likes.
Thanks for proving to us that you indeed have comprehension issues. Although I clearly explained what I was talking about, you still come back to repeat the same baseless, meaningless assumptions. Again, since you dont get it: I was making a parallel between two cheap, non-effective solutions. Not between the group finder issue and cancer. But since you dont have arguments and you were proven wrong, keep it like that and put words in my mouth I didnt say so that you can sound legit.
And second, no one said that the group finder issue is with waiting time. The problem with this game is that in the way its code is written, it cannot serve a big amount of players simultaneously. Its not a server hardware issue any more, its a code issue. When you are a tank or a healer and have to wait 50 minutes for a pledge dungeon and cant find group in a game with few tanks or healers and way more DDs (but you can magically get one instantly if you re-enter queue), when you are a 3/4 complete group and cant enter dungeon because for some reason you cant get a second DD (although there are hundreds in a queue), when you cant leave queue, when you cant join queue, when the group finder breaks down when the Undaunted event launches because many players use it at the same time, when you cant join a group because "jump failed, instance full" all these are issues that come from within the game core. There are numerous issues reported here from players and with screenshots.

An effort that should be done way before the event, and not last minute.
