Customer service bluff ?

I have an opinion based on the facts that the game support service does nothing. It’s simply deceiving that they will take action. I am talking about such violations as the use of programs (BOT) to collect resources.[Incident: 191113-000737] Customer Service Ticket.

They for obvious reasons do not notify you if they take action or not against cheaters.

To what extent reporting bots helps is not something we will ever know, unless they magically disappear completely.

They don't really ever let you know what they do with a botting report unfortunately. Also unfortunately, the bots always return rather quickly.

One of my preferred chitin farming areas always has a set and I report them and they might disappear for a day or two but return with a different account and the usual funky names.

Pretty much Zos is slow at taking care of bots. It is not that nothing is ever done, it is just not a speedy process for them as it is not a high priority.

It is life. I suggest not getting upset about it. Creating the thread is not likely to get results. Just enjoy the game as mostly ignore the bots as Zos does.

You have provided no evidence to support your assertion, you saying your opinion is fact does not make it fact.

I suspect, their priority is the goldseller bots. The ones that hide their affiliation better, or don't get picked up in the goldseller sweeps, do enjoy a much lower priority.

Yes it seems futile to report bots. I reported a bot AND put them on my Ignore list this time. It remains there unchanged months later. If the bot account were banned they would disappear from the list.

Something else you can try is to youtube some ESO bot videos or look them up on Reddit where they are sometimes posted. Then if you are on the same platform, try to message the account.

I'm not so sure. As far as I know, banned accounts will still linger on your ignored/friends lists until removed. This also applies to guild rosters, I think, though I'm a little less confidant about that specific example.
