I'll never understand why @ZOS_BrianWheeler felt the need to change these Battleground maps or the need to have a variation of each Battleground map for each Battleground game mode.
The original map versions were far superior because they offered better tactics, multiple movement routes & escape paths, and different areas of the map were fought over in different matches -- which always made Battlegrounds more interesting and replayable.
Now, with the new Istirus Outpost, all we have is one giant centralized mosh-pit with no side-bar/side-battles, paths, escape routes, or strategy and tactics of any kind -- other than a pure mindless spawn-kill fest.
If these map changes are kept, then there should be a feature or option for players to select and filter out one Battleground map from the Battleground matchmaking queue. WoW had feature with their PvP Battleground matches, and that game is now 15 years old.
Meanwhile, Battleground players still have to deal with the Infinite Intermission Lobby bug/glitch where the match never starts, which has plagued Battleground matches for over a year now. Players are constantly forced to take a 20-minute deserter penalty. This has still not been prioritized and fixed yet, but Z0$ nerfs our Battleground maps, instead. Way to go!
