Would you like the "Would you like an Auction House" poll to stop?

So much hates toward the guild traders, and so many people willing to standardize this game's trading system.
All the polls have failed, and yet, they keep trying, again and again.
Edit: and I miss clicked, I had a few more options to make :'(

Democracy is about reasoned debate of the collective. This is nothing but childish bullying becuase some are not getting their way. For democracy to work those who lose the debate have a respnosibilty to accept the outcome until another reasonable time is available to open the debate when warranted.

You not liking them doesn't make them irrelevant. At the very least, they show that many people are dissatisfied with the status quo, and that the trading system is in need of various improvements.

And yet the majority of polls end up against a GAH so is is more accurate to say at the very least that the comminity does not want one. Your position is actually incorrect as GAHs typically lose in the polls.

It would be nice if players would stop trying to police the forums themselves, though...

There's an actual video game attached to these things. If you're not enjoying the main attraction, maybe you should try that little side activity once in a while. It's a good distraction from the forums when you need a break.

Why do we have two polls about auction houses that have nothing to do with debating or discussing auction houses. I think this is probably more annoying than the auction house threads.

I am not a fan of auction houses but I am even less of a fan of quelling discussion which seems to be the point of this thread.

If you have an issue with auction house threads then ignore them. Do not read them.

These polls are just as appropriate as the repeated GAH requests. If you do not like them please take your own advice qouted above.

Voting against a global AH does not equal being in love with the current system.

Also consider who's the most likely to frequent these forums and vote in the polls. It's not average players with limited funds and access to trading.

Careful you are starting to build a strawman, I never said anyone loved the current system just that most do not want a GAH. I firmly believe our current system can be improved.

Actually, you are wrong. One is about discussion aspects of the game and the other is about quelling such discussion. This thread is very pointless in comparison to threads actually discussing action houses themselves. I would not be surprised if this thread is closed due to lack of constructive discussion.

Just pointing out a simple fact.

I'm personally not trying to police the forum. People have an opinion, they express it, and I don't expect the moderators to censor that opinion. I'm not asking if they should stop, but if you're personally annoyed by it, don't mind, or if you like it/support it. I tried to make more options but I miss clicked and published it :(

It's like a seasonal event. Yes, I find it annoying but that's my opinion, and I would like it to stop, even if I don't think it should.

LOL, every poll what ever the subject is failure on a forum like this, because they are basically meaningless when not even 0.1% of the playerbase votes on them.

And let's not even go into how skewed the sample is...

Actually your wrong, a continued reposting of a discussed topic that injects nothing new is not constructive. Funny thing about opinions they are just that and given your current line of reasoning equally valid.

You can not defend one opinion which added nothing to the debate over another opinion which added nothing to the debate.

Or if you prefer, my poll is asking the community if they are tired of this debate, so there is your constructive part.

So we differ on which actually offers something constructive.

People so enjoy flinging about nonsense about supposed "strawmen" when they have little else to say. 🙄 I suggest you re-read what you yourself wrote:

    To which I replied:

Hmm. But behold! It seems we are not completely at odds, since we both agree that the current system needs work. Who'd have thought?

Don't worry, you're totally right, I'm not offended, this post turned out very wrong, it's not exactly what I intended to post. It was more like the angry mail you write to your boss before deleting everything and then writing something reasonable. But I fat fingered the "post reply" on my phone screen, during my break. It didn't help that a similar post but with a very strong opinion appeared at the same time. Guess I have my first closed discussion. I would have liked to discuss more the alternatives and how to improve the current system rather than repeating the same thread every week. Because it's about a fundamental change of the game that the devs are not likely to make.

Do not fat finger that email to your boss. lol

Seriously, Zos encourages it. Look at when they announced they were bringing back faction locks. The first thing they said is people were asking for them. When Zos did that they encouraged such behavior since that has been another topic that has been discussed ad nauseam but for not as many years for obvious reasons.

The one thing that does differ about the GAH discussions is they are pretty much dead in the water. The guild trader design is a something the devs really wanted and touted.

This is someone's baby in the game. Not to mention it is not a simple change and doubt Zos wants to spend the money to make such a change as no one will quit the game for that very sole reason.

So it is not something to stress about. We win without saying a thing.
