Maintenance for the week of September 8:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – September 8
• PC/Mac: EU megaserver for maintenance – September 9, 22:00 UTC (6:00PM EDT) - September 10, 16:00 UTC (12:00PM EDT) https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/682784

How many band aids will ZoS use until they finally fix performance and server issues.

Server is lagging? Add queues and then remove them but server still lags.

Dungeon Finder does not work because server can't handle so many requests? Add a queue to the dungeon finder.

Maintenance breaks stuff like guild chat, friends list? Remove guild history and related addons.

What's next? Remove textures from the game? Remove mobs? Remove keeps? Remove colors?

WHAT A JOKE ZOS... WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!

Suggestion: make Battlegrounds 3x3x3 instead of 4x4x4 maybe that will make skills and weapon swap work!

There is unbalance between money - passion - service, times where games where made for players gone, games are on investor hands but not on creators ideas passion and at all gamers needs. Game devs care about money and salary , investors only care about income, every body cares his own side, no synergy between like it was years before. Passion and sacriface are gone. Only money matters.

I don't know, the white knight path tends to have less surprise pit deaths from traitorous apprentices.

I really hope ZOS is taking this seriously, because the EU problems this year have been shocking.

I think the passion and want to make a great game is there, the problem is the people with the passion are not the ones in control any more.

I really hope they acknowledge the issues the game has been having, and actually do something about it. The lack of communication and real fixes is getting old.

I do feel sorry for the devs, I imagine them having creative ideas and having all them shutt down because of money. I believe they know full well how bad the game performs but it is not in their hands to change things...
It just sucks that this is how the gaming industry works now.

This is true. And sad but YES its very true. Game is controle by investor(statistics matter) money for making more and more money and then controle passion of creators to create more money. Money talks more than art of creating games. ZOS is company is example art of making money. Its a trend who has short legs in next years. But circle closes. Only money matter. Money and statistics are equivalent of gamers needs. We are live in matrix. No body cares what you want even you paid for this situation paradoxaly. Gamers in developer eyes are sheeps to cut the more money. Gamers voice is so quite nowdays due to fact nobody cares the time for aour quality. Because artists not controle the creating of a game any more, but investors statistics sheet.

World of Warcraft Classic comes out at the end of agust, I believe.

There are currently a rather impressive number of playeres here just to wait it out. Pretty sure ZOS knows is, and don't want to "over-improve" servers for a crowd that will go away "soon".

I expect servers will be much better in september. And then all executives will pat each other in the back, telling each other they were right, and keep bragging about how they are "killing it", while we will have had to compose with crappy servers for months.

It just sucks that this is how the gaming industry works now.
Which is exactly why I don't rudely slam ZOS on the forums.

I understand and share peoples frustrations with some issues the game has (especially the EU server issues) but I don't see how making snarky or sarcastic posts towards Gina, Jess, Rich or other ZOS staff is going to suddenly cause changes.
They're already doing their best to give us a great game and I can't image they enjoy seeing the horrible state it's in right now with regards to server performance. Also these are normal people, it's got to grate on you to go to work only to read abuse from the people on a daily basis.*

Their communication on issues could be a lot better, especially their seeming reluctance to talk about issues or acknowledge something until it reaches critical mass. However I personally (and no evidence) still feel this is the whole "marketing control" thing which Zenimax/Bethesda loves so much.

    * Which once again is why I keep trying to encourage ZOS to adopt Paradox's anti-toxicity posting rules. The forums is a working environment for games developers and community staff, they shouldn't have to deal with abuse on them.

That just happens when people get frustrated, when people get ignored. Sadly the ones in charge will never suffer abuse or have to read mean and sarcastic comments.
Many people tried to make constructive discussions and went all unanswered so its normal people get angry.

It is a sad state of affairs indeed but sometimes people just don't know what else to do.

People should keep posting and keep being critical. However they should drop the snark and venom towards the people who don't deserve it.

I fully understand the rage on the forums about issues and make snarky comments, because I used to do it. However at some point I realised that doesn't achieve anything and in fact just made me angrier and more jaded. Now I give constructive criticism where I can, but also try to respect those I am dealing with are just normal people doing a job they love.

I think this also becomes much easier after you start meeting ZOS people at events and realise how kind and genuine they are, I have never seen one of them not try and give a genuine and honest answer to hard questions at events.

Greetings! We've closed this thread due to its non-constructive nature. While we completely understand everyone has their own opinions, thoughts, feelings and even frustrations, we want the forums to be a civil and constructive platform for the game and it's community as a whole.
